Broadcasting signal transmission device, broadcasting signal reception device, broadcasting signal transmission method, and broadcasting signal reception method
A method of processing information in a digital receiver connected to an external input source includes receiving uncompressed data of a broadcast service from the external input source, the broadcast service delivered based on either a Real-Time Object Delivery over Unidirectional Transport (ROUTE) protocol or an MPEG Media Transport (MMT) protocol; extracting an audio watermark from the uncompressed data; making a request to a specific server using domain type and server code of the audio watermark to form a first URL; receiving a recovery file including a second URL used to retrieve signaling files needed to access and present a supplementary content; retrieving the signaling files using the second URL in the recovery file; and presenting the supplementary content based on the signaling files. Further, timing information included in the recovery file is used to synchronize the supplementary content with the uncompressed data from the external input source.
Methods and apparatus to perform media device asset qualification
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to perform media device asset qualification are disclosed. An example apparatus includes at least one memory, and at least one processor to execute instructions to at least identify a first set of candidate media device assets for disqualification, the candidate media device assets including A) a signature and B) a media identifier that identifies media, generate a hash table using a second set of the candidate media device assets, determine one or more counts of matches between C) a first signature and a first media identifier of a first candidate media device asset of the second set and D) respective signatures and media identifiers of multiple ones of the second set using the hash table, the multiple ones of the second set not including the first candidate media device asset, and load the first signature into a reference database as a reference signature.

Non-television experience triggers
Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method and/or computer program product embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof, for distributing content outside the confides of a television so as to enhance user experience of the content. An example media device embodiment operates according to a method that includes receiving a data stream containing content and at least one non-TV experience trigger; causing the content to be played on the TV; and providing the non-TV experience trigger to at least one appropriate accessory device in a manner synchronous with playing the content on the TV, to thereby extend playback of the content beyond the TV.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DIRECT OPERATOR TO SET-TOP BOX COMMUNICATION
A system and method implements communications between a TV operator's infrastructure and set-top boxes (STBs) through a TV operator's infrastructure, wherein the infrastructure includes at least one Conditional Access System (CAS), a messaging engine and a Set Top Box (STB), the STB including a unique identification value. The method comprises receiving a structured message in the messaging engine; computing a stream out of multiple received structured messages by the messaging engine and sending to the multiplexor; including the stream of structured messages in a broadcasted signal transmitted through the TV operator's infrastructure; receiving the broadcasted signal by the STB and extracting a structured message; and comparing addressing information in the extracted structured message with a unique identification of the STB. Messages directed to the STB can be displayed.
Media channel identification and action, with disambiguation through client-side fingerprint matching of channel-specific icon
Disclosed is a method including (i) detecting that query fingerprint data representing frames of video content being rendered by a media presentation device matches reference fingerprint data representing frames of multiple channels of video content, including detecting that the query fingerprint data matches multiple instances of reference fingerprint data each representing frames of a different respective channel in the multiple channels of video content, and (ii) responsive to at least the detecting that the query fingerprint data representing the frames of the video content being rendered by the device matches the reference fingerprint data representing the frames of the multiple channels of video content, configuring the device with channel-icon fingerprint data representing channel icons of the multiple channels of video content, to enable the device to perform channel-icon fingerprint matching to determine which channel of the multiple channels is being rendered by the device.
Method and apparatus for live streaming, server, system and storage medium
The disclosure provides a method and an apparatus for live streaming. The method includes receiving a live streaming pausing command sent by a first client, in which the live streaming pausing command is configured to instruct a pause of a live streaming in a live streaming room created with a login account of the first client; pausing acquisition of live streaming data from the first client and acquiring a target resource based on the live streaming pausing command; sending a target resource to a second client to instruct the second client to switch from displaying a live streaming picture to displaying the target resource, in which the second client includes a client of an account entered in the live streaming room.

SEPARATION OF GRAPHICS FROM NATURAL VIDEO IN STREAMING VIDEO CONTENT
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method that includes obtaining, by a processing system including a processor, video frames over a network; the processing system uses a machine learning algorithm to identify in each frame a first region comprising a natural image and a second region comprising a synthetic graphic image. The processing system separates the natural image from the synthetic graphic image to generate a natural video and a graphics video, encodes the natural video, and processes the graphics video to generate instructions for rendering graphic images at a client system. The client system performs a decoding procedure for the encoded video, a rendering procedure for client-side graphics in accordance with the instructions, and a compositing procedure to obtain a presentable video stream including the natural image and a client-side graphic corresponding to the synthetic graphic image. Other embodiments are disclosed.
METHODS FOR COORDINATING A MEDIA SESSION, RELATED NETWORK NODES, RELATED WIRELESS DEVICES, AND RELATED PRODUCTION DEVICES
Disclosed is a method which may be performed by a network node. The media session may be configured to be associated with an event. The production device is configured to receive, from the one or more wireless devices, media data for the media session. The method comprises coordinating the event; and transmitting, to the one or more wireless devices, control signalling indicative of a coordination parameter for coordinating the event.
