DC cooking appliance

A DC powered cooking appliance which uses an induction or a resistance based DC heating element and excludes AC powered heating elements and preferably does not rely on directly connected combustion powered heating elements. Some embodiments include wattage of 1500 watts or less, voltages of 40 or 48 volts or more and are installed on a boat, van, rv or bus such that an inverter of that boat, van, rv or bus is not electrically connected to the cooking appliance.

WIRELESS CONTROL AND STATUS MONITORING FOR ELECTRIC GRILL WITH CURRENT PROTECTION CIRCUITRY

Provided is an apparatus and method for protecting against unsafe electric current conditions. An example method includes accessing a selected operating mode for a heating element of the electric grill using at least one user input device of the electric grill, the heating element connected to a voltage line and a neutral line; measuring, using a temperature probe, a temperature of the heating element; estimating an ambient temperature at a location within a cook box of the electric grill spaced apart from the heating element, the estimation of the ambient temperature based on the measured temperature of the heating element; and using the estimated ambient temperature to determine when a target temperature corresponding to the selected operating mode is reached.

PELLET GRILLS

Pellet grills and associated methods of operation are disclosed. An example pellet grill includes a lid, a cooking chamber, an engine, and one or more processors. The lid is movable between a closed position and an open position. The engine is configured to output heat to the cooking chamber. The one or more processors are configured to detect a closing movement of the lid. In response to detecting the closing movement, the one or more processors are configured to command the engine to operate in an increased output mode that increases the heat output of the engine.

Electric grill with a filtration system for filtering the fumes released from food cooking

An electric grill with a filtration system for filtering the fumes released from food cooked using an electric resistance acting as a heat source. The heat source is disposed below the grilling grate which extend in a horizontal plane. The grilling grate including an electric air extractor fan which removes the fumes released during cooking. The filtration system extends on the grilling grate and below the electric air extractor fan. The filtration system includes at least one metal mesh with an activated carbon filter contained in a slidable holding drawer. The drawer comprises a lower frame and an upper frame cover having pairs of quadrangular openings covered by respective metal meshes. An activated carbon sheet extends between them. The electric air extractor fan directs the purified air outside through a plurality of holes (38) defined in an upper chimney (21).

ELECTRIC GRILL WITH IMPROVED CONVECTIVE HEAT TRANSFER

A cooking system including a cooking chamber with a cooking surface therein, at least one resistive heating element providing heat to the cooking surface, an alternating current connection for powering the resistive heating element, and a direct current source.

BARBECUE GRILL
20220279968 · 2022-09-08 ·

A barbecue grill has a body, a barbecue grid, a heating device, a heating adjustment unit, a thermal sensor, and a control device. The heating adjustment unit is connected with the heating device. The thermal sensor is mounted in the body and detects an actual temperature. The control device has a constant temperature control module electrically connected to the heating adjustment unit and the thermal sensor. The constant temperature control module controls the heating adjustment unit to adjust heat output of the heating device according to a difference value between a target temperature and the actual temperature. The heat output of the heating device is increased or decreased according to the difference value to keep the temperature constant at the position of the thermal sensor.

Pellet grills

Pellet grills and associated methods of operation are disclosed. An example pellet grill includes a burn pot configured to combust pellet fuel received within the burn pot. The pellet grill further includes an auger configured to deliver the pellet fuel to the burn pot. The pellet grill further includes an auger motor operatively coupled to the auger. The pellet grill further includes one or more processors configured to determine whether a shutdown sequence of the pellet grill has been initiated. The one or more processors are further configured, in response to determining that the shutdown sequence has been initiated, to command the auger motor to reverse a direction of rotation of the auger. The reversal is to cause pellet fuel which the auger has not yet delivered to the burn pot to be purged in a direction away from the burn pot.

Indoor smokeless grill and air fryer combination device

The present technology provides a multi-purpose cooking apparatus that provides simultaneous smokeless grilling for food products and air frying for food products utilizing the same fan and heating elements. A lower portion of the apparatus includes an enclosed air fryer cooking chamber with a closable door. The air fryer cooking chamber is heated with heating elements and a fan for blowing heated air through the cooking chamber. The upper portion of the apparatus utilizes the same upper heating elements as the air fryer chamber and includes a grilling surface, such as a grilling plate, in an enclosed interior cooking environment. The fan pulls air from the upper portion, filters smoke from the air, and returns the air to the lower portion of the apparatus. The heated, smokeless, circulated air from the fan is used to air fry in the lower portion.
