In some embodiments, a method detects an issue with broadcast tuning parameters for broadcast channels being broadcast by a broadcast system. A message is received including a set of switched digital video tuning parameters for switched digital video channels from a switched digital video system where the broadcast tuning parameters are included in the message. The method retrieves at least a portion of the broadcast tuning parameters that are received via the switched digital video system and uses the at least a portion of the broadcast tuning parameters received in the message to request a broadcast channel from the broadcast system.

A media guidance application may generate master configuration data including the most common configuration data used in the geographical region served by the media guidance application, and number of override configurations which contain only those data which differ from the master configuration data for a number of sub-regions of the geographical region. This reduces duplicative configuration data, and the media guidance application need only store one full set of configuration data, namely the master configuration data, and a number of smaller override configurations.

The method includes: receiving first request information sent by a client, the first request information including an identifier of the live clip; acquiring the live clip corresponding to the identifier of the live clip, the live clip including an identifier of a live stream and a timestamp of the live clip; acquiring an interactive message corresponding to the identifier of the live clip, the interactive message including the identifier of the live stream and a timestamp of the interactive message; and sending the live clip and the interactive message to the client, to enable the client to display the live clip and the interactive message based on the identifier of the live stream, the timestamp of the live clip and the timestamp of the interactive message.
