Remotely Accessed Virtual Recording Room
An audio/video stream recording, storage, and delivery system 10 utilizes an Internet-based browser connection. The system 10 includes recording software 20, storage memory 30, a code generator 40, and a user interface 50. Preferably, the recording software 20 is located on the host back end 60 where it processes and records audio and video material that originates from the user front end 70 and is streamed to the host back end. The storage memory 30, which is also located on the host back end 60, stores the recorded audio and video material. The user interface 50 to the system provides a user located at the user front end 70 with remote access to a virtual recording room. The user interface 50 further enables the user to record audio and video material streamed from the user front end 70 by activating the recording software 20 located on the host back end 60. This is accomplished without requiring recording functionality on the user front end 70. The code generator 30 produces code associated with the recorded audio and video material. This code can be easily copied and pasted to an additional location 80, such as an auction website. Activating the code pasted at the additional location 80 provides access to the recorded audio and video material from the additional location while allowing the recorded audio and video material to remain stored at the host back end 60.
BROADCAST RECEPTION DEVICE, BROADCAST RECEPTION METHOD, AND BROADCAST RECEPTION PROGRAM
A broadcast reception device includes: a program recording execution unit that stores, into a recording-content storage area, program identification information for identifying a broadcast program, and storage-destination information for specifying a server device storing the broadcast program; a reception function execution unit that transmits the program identification information and the program storage-destination information to the server device specified from the program storage-destination information; and an output unit that outputs sound information and image information on the broadcast program transmitted from the server device.
Apparatus and method for tying together a URL request with multimedia in a database
Apparatus and method are provided for tying together an URL request to a function in the database which returns media data. The invention provides for apparatus that receives a URL request for BLOB data from a web client and receives dynamic values specific to the web client from the web client. The URL is parsed to determine the function in a database and, if they exist, any parameters. A call is made to the function in the database specified in the URL and, if they exist, with parameters specified in the URL and with the dynamic values from the web client. The result can be streamed to the user.
GENERATING VIDEO ON DEMAND (VOD) USING NETWORK DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDING (NDVR)
Disclosed herein are embodiments generating video on demand (VOD) using network digital video recording (NDVR). A method includes receiving a video on demand (VOD) request for generating a VOD package of a video broadcast prior to a broadcast. The method further includes retrieving electronic program guide (EPG) metadata related to the video broadcast. The method further includes sending a digital video recording (DVR) request to a network digital video recording (NDVR) system to record the video broadcast. The method further includes obtaining a video recording of the video broadcast generated by the NDVR system. The method further includes generating a VOD package of the video broadcast, the VOD package including the video recording, and VOD metadata of the video recording. The method further includes sending the VOD package of the video broadcast toward a VOD system to distribute the VOD package.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR PULLING LIVE STREAM
The present disclosure relates to methods for pulling a live stream, and electronic devices and storage mediums. The method includes: receiving a third-party business stream pull request for a target live stream from a third-party business client, determining a source business domain name and a live stream name of the target live stream based on the third-party business stream pull request, searching one or more local live streams for the target live stream according to the source business domain name and the live stream name, where the one or more local live streams are at a first node of the content delivery network, and forwarding, in response to a presence of the target live stream in the one or more local live streams, the target live stream to the third-party business client.
MANAGEMENT SERVER, USER TERMINAL, GIFT SYSTEM, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
A gift system comprising a control server for controlling a gift giving request submitted by a user in a live performance or live broadcast, and a user terminal that is held by the user. The control server comprises: a receiving portion for receiving a gift giving request that is transmitted in response to a user operation; an evaluating portion for evaluating whether not to accept the gift giving request based on a target during the performance; and a controlling portion for accepting the gift giving request in exchange for payment depending on the evaluation result by the evaluating portion. The user terminal 40 comprises a detecting portion for detecting a vibration, and a transmitting portion for transmitting a gift giving request when the detecting portion detects the vibration.
Adaptive bitrate streaming
Systems and methods are described for performing adaptive bitrate (ABR) streaming. A user device may request a segment of a first version of a plurality of versions of a content asset from a content provider, and may receive the segment. An estimated time to receive a second segment of a second version of the content may be determined based on metrics associated with receipt of the segment of the first version and in a manner that takes into account latency with the network, such that a determination whether to switch to a higher or lower bitrate version of a content asset during ABR streaming may be more accurately made.
METHODS FOR BROADCASTING, RECEIVING AND ANALYSING A DATA STREAM BROADCAST IN AT LEAST ONE BROADCAST NETWORK, AND CORRESPONDING DEVICES AND COMPUTER PROGRAM
A method for broadcasting a data stream in at least one broadcast network. The method includes inserting, into the data stream, at least one identifier associated with at least one broadcast area of the broadcast network used to broadcast the data stream. The at least one identifier is transmitted in signalling information of an application to be executed by at least one receiver of the data stream.
Watermarking and signal recognition for managing and sharing captured content, metadata discovery and related arrangements
Content is identified using watermarking and/or other content recognition combined with contextual metadata, which facilitates identification and correlation with other content and metadata when it is posted to a network.
Dynamic playout buffer for disparate live media output stream
A system is provided for publishing first programming schedule that references at least one or more pre-encoded media assets and/or one or more live input streams, and comprises one or more playout buffer features enabled via one or more constraints and rights. Each playout buffer feature of the one or more playout buffer features is associated with corresponding number of media segments that represents the one or more pre-encoded media assets and/or one or more live input streams. A request is received that comprises at least a stream identifier and at least an additional parameter. In accordance with a playout buffer feature from the one or more playout buffer features and at least the additional parameter, manifest data and indexed metadata of one or more media segments associated with stream identifier is inserted to first disparate live media output stream manifest and first disparate live media output stream is generated.
