Disclosed is a broadcast providing method implemented at an electronic device including processing circuitry. The broadcast providing method includes receiving, by the processing circuitry, a broadcast image from a broadcast server, and generating, by the processing circuitry, a final image by synthesizing the broadcast image with a personalized background image using a chroma key, the personalized background image being personalized for a user of the electronic device.

Systems and methods are described herein for inserting emoticons within a media asset based on an audio portion of the media asset. Each audio portion of a media asset is associated with a respective part of speech, and an emotion corresponding to the audio portion for the media asset is determined. A corresponding emoticon is identified based on the determined emotion in the audio portion and causing to be presented at the location within the media asset.

A personalized remote control is configured such that a predefined movement and/or orientation of the remote control is associated with a predefined command. The remote control includes a plurality of output surfaces configured for controlling digital content on one or more output devices, such that each of the output surfaces is associated with a predefined selection of digital content. A method, set-top box, and non-transitory computer readable medium are disclosed for presentation of audiovisual content with closed captions. The method includes receiving, via an input device interfaced with the electronic device, an instruction requesting a replay of previously viewed video content with closed captioning; sending, to the display device interfaced with the electronic device, one or more thumbnail images of the previously viewed video content to be displayed on the display device; receiving, via the input device interfaced with the electronic device, one of the one or more thumbnail images of the previously viewed video content being selected for replay of the previously viewed video content; and sending, to the display device interfaced with the electronic device, closed captioning with the previously viewed video content starting at a video frame corresponding to the one of the one or more thumbnails of the previously viewed video content selected for replay.

An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: record a motion of a user made until a video pause instruction to pause displayed video is given; and display a still image in the video displayed at a second time point earlier than a first time point, the first time point being a time point at which the video pause instruction is received, the second time point being a threshold time point at which acceleration involved with the motion of the user first exceeds a predetermined threshold and which is a most recent threshold time point.

Method for generating media content items based on location information starts with the server system receiving from a first computing device an electronic communication including location information from a location sensor coupled to the first client computing device. Server system then determines a current activity of a first user of the first client computing device based on the location information; generating a media content item including a map display based on the location information and at least one of: (i) an avatar of the first user engaged in the current activity, (ii) a status message associated with the current activity of the first user, or (iii) a status message associated with a map location on the map display. Server system then causes the media content item to be displayed on a display screen of at least one of a plurality of client computing devices. Other embodiments are described herein.

Embodiments of the present application provide an image display method and apparatus, a device, and a storage medium. The method comprises: displaying a preceding image in a first display period, the preceding image comprising a video image sequence or a single image; superimposing a foreground target area of a succeeding image on an upper layer of the preceding image in a second display period for display, the succeeding image comprising a video image sequence or a single image; and displaying the succeeding image in a third display period. According to the method, a good playback effect can be achieved in scenarios where time variations are desired.

An image processing method comprises receiving content; displaying the content on a display; detecting a capture trigger for capturing a screenshot of the content displayed on the display; acquiring additional information relating to the content displayed on the display at a capture timing corresponding to a timing at which the capture trigger is detected; and capturing the screenshot of the content displayed on the display at the capture timing and adding the additional information to the screenshot to generate an additional-information-added image.
