20180054637 · 2018-02-22 ·

Disclosed are various embodiments for facilitating uninterrupted playback of video streams using lower quality cached files. A video file corresponding to an entirety of a video content feature encoded at a first quality may be obtained from another client on a local network. A video stream corresponding to the video content feature encoded at a second quality higher than the first quality is then obtained. The video stream is rendered for playback on a display. In response to detecting an unavailability of the video stream at a particular time in the video content feature, the video file is rendered for playback on the display in place of the video stream and commences at the particular time in the video content feature. The video file may then be sent to yet another client on the local network.

The present technology relates to a reception apparatus, a reception method, a transmission apparatus, and a transmission method that make it possible to do a promotion for a non-subscriber to a pay broadcast service more flexibly. The reception apparatus receives broadcast content that is provided as a pay broadcast service and transmitted in a scrambled manner, acquires a subscription check application for checking presence of a subscription to the pay broadcast service depending on information indicating presence of the subscription check application, the information being included in control information including information regarding a structure of the broadcast content, and controls an operation of the subscription check application. The present technology is applicable, for example, to a television receiver capable of receiving a digital broadcast signal.

System and method for single KVM client accommodating multiple different video compression technologies

A method is disclosed for providing compressed video to a personal electronic device of a user using one of a plurality of different video compression protocols, and wherein the personal electronic device has a web browser. The method may involve using the personal electronic device to transmit a request for video content from a server via a remotely located controller. The controller may be used to serve up HTML5 client code to the browser. The browser may use the HTML5 client code to create a web socket connection with the server and to establish a web socket in the browser. The HTML5 client code, the web socket connection and the web socket may be used to receive the compressed video, and the HTML5 client code may be used to decompress the compressed video for display on the personal electronic device.

The embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a multimedia processing method and apparatus, and a device and a medium. The method is applied to a terminal, and comprises: acquiring first multimedia data, wherein the first multimedia data comprises at least one of frame data and an image of a video; storing the first multimedia data in a shared memory, and dividing the first multimedia data into at least two first data blocks, wherein each first data block has memory information in the shared memory; on the basis of the memory information of the at least two first data blocks in the shared memory, respectively calling and processing the at least two first data blocks by means of at least two computing devices which are comprised in a terminal, so as to obtain at least two second data blocks, wherein each computing device processes one first data block; and splicing the at least two second data blocks to obtain second multimedia data, and then displaying the second multimedia data.

MEDIA CONTENT BOUNDARY-AWARE ENCODING

A system for utilizing media content reference point information to perform media content encoding, and supplemental content stitching and/or insertion. Media content can be encoded and packaged based on boundaries of the media content. The boundaries can be received from a third-party and/or generated via an automated process. Target boundaries can be selected based on accuracy levels associated with the received and/or generated boundaries. Supplemental content can be stitched and/or inserted into packaged media content based on audio and video content of the packaged media content being aligned.

Generating customized on-demand videos from automated test scripts

Generating customized on-demand videos from automated test scripts is provided. Responsive to receiving a request for an instruction on performing a task on a computer, a database of automated test scripts may be searched to identify a set of test scripts that comprise a set of executable actions associated with the task. An automation test sequence associated with performing of the task is built based on test scripts identified in the searching. The automation test sequence is run on a machine. While the automation test sequence is running on the machine, screen activities of the running automation test sequence are recorded to generate a video, e.g., by running a video capture program.
