Regulating content associated with a streaming platform
Techniques are described with respect to management of streaming content. An associated computer-implemented method includes registering an event with a streaming platform and detecting from a client system of a streaming contributor unsanctioned streaming content captured from the event. The computer-implemented method further includes determining whether a selected portion of the unsanctioned streaming content includes a token associated with the event. Responsive to determining that the selected portion of the unsanctioned streaming content includes the token, the computer-implemented method further includes regulating the unsanctioned streaming content according to a media infringement policy implemented by the streaming platform. According to an embodiment, the token is a barcode or a visual representation included on at least one artifact placed at a site of the event.
Automated Content Segmentation and Identification of Fungible Content
A content segmentation system includes a computing platform having processing hardware and a system memory storing a software code and a trained machine learning model. The processing hardware is configured to execute the software code to receive content, the content including multiple sections each having multiple content blocks in sequence, to select one of the sections for segmentation, and to identify, for each of the content blocks of the selected section, at least one respective representative unit of content. The software code is further executed to generate, using the at least one respective representative unit of content, a respective embedding vector for each of the content blocks of the selected section to provide a multiple embedding vectors, and to predict, using the trained machine learning model and the embedding vectors, subsections of the selected section, at least some of the subsections including more than one of the content blocks.
Automated Content Segmentation and Identification of Fungible Content
A content segmentation system includes a computing platform having processing hardware and a system memory storing a software code and a trained machine learning model. The processing hardware is configured to execute the software code to receive content, the content including multiple sections each having multiple content blocks in sequence, to select one of the sections for segmentation, and to identify, for each of the content blocks of the selected section, at least one respective representative unit of content. The software code is further executed to generate, using the at least one respective representative unit of content, a respective embedding vector for each of the content blocks of the selected section to provide a multiple embedding vectors, and to predict, using the trained machine learning model and the embedding vectors, subsections of the selected section, at least some of the subsections including more than one of the content blocks.
METHODS AND APPARATUS TO CREDIT UNIDENTIFIED MEDIA
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to credit unidentified media are disclosed. Disclosed example apparatus include a database updater to store a first group of signatures representative of unidentified media in a database, the first group of signatures obtained from a first media meter to monitor a first media presentation device, the first group of signatures associated with a first media exposure category based on media source information reported by the first media meter. Disclosed example apparatus also include a media comparator to compare a second group of signatures with the first group of signatures, the second group of signatures obtained from a second media meter to monitor a second media presentation device. Disclosed example apparatus further include a reporter to credit media exposure represented by the second group of signatures to the first media exposure category when the second group of signatures matches the first group of signatures.
Methods and apparatus to extend a timestamp range supported by a watermark
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to extend a time range supported by a watermark are disclosed. Example watermark encoding apparatus disclosed herein determine which one of a plurality of timestamp cycles is to be represented by a timestamp of a watermark, the timestamp including a set of timestamp symbols, a first subset of data symbols and a second subset of data symbols. Disclosed example apparatus also modify the first subset of data symbols of the watermark based on a further timestamp symbol not included in the set of timestamp symbols of the timestamp, but not modify the second subset of data symbols based on the further timestamp symbol, the further timestamp symbol to identify the one of the plurality of timestamp cycles to be represented by the timestamp of the watermark. Disclosed example apparatus further embed the watermark in a piece of media.

Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to extend a time range supported by a watermark are disclosed. In one embodiment, a processing device receives a first digital fingerprint of a media item along with a first content management rule. The processing device separately receives a second digital fingerprint of the media item along with a second content management rule. The processing device determines that the received digital fingerprints are for the same media item based upon a match between the first digital fingerprint and the second digital fingerprint. The processing device determines that all rights to the media item have been accounted for, and then determines a set of actions to be performed for hosted media items comprising the media item based at least in part upon the first content management rule and the second content management rule. Processing logic may also perform a conflict resolution process for conflicting rights claims to the media item.

Methods, systems, and media for determining and presenting information related to embedded sound recordings are provided. In some embodiments, the method comprises: receiving a content item; extracting a sound recording from the content item; generating a melody fingerprint of the extracted sound recording; determining whether the melody fingerprint of the extracted sound recording matches one of a plurality of clusters of similar sounding sound recordings in a reference database, wherein each cluster in the plurality of clusters of similar sounding sound recordings is associated with ownership information based on a plurality of ownership information associated with each of the sound recordings in the cluster; in response to determining that the melody fingerprint of the extracted sound recording matches a cluster of similar sounding sound recordings, retrieving ownership information associated with the cluster; mapping the ownership information to the sound recording extracted from the content item; and causing an action to be performed on the content item based on the mapped ownership information

An example apparatus includes at least one memory, instructions, and processor circuitry to at least one of execute or instantiate the instructions to extract a first media data pair from first media presentation data from a media provider, identify a second media data pair in second media presentation data based on a comparison of the first media data pair and the second media presentation data, the second media data pair generated in response to a meter accessing streaming data associated with a second media presentation device accessing the streaming media, identify a panelist associated with the second media data pair, and, in response to identifying the panelist, cause a server to associate the second media data pair and demographic data associated with the panelist included in a report by transmitting the report to the server.
