The present invention can determine whether to enable or disable a restriction function of viewing an image to be transmitted, for each video stream. There is provided a transmission apparatus configured to transmit a video stream including an image of a part of or a whole of a captured image to a plurality of destinations, and performs a first setting about whether to ON or OFF a viewing restriction function of a first video stream. Further, the transmission apparatus performs a second setting, independently from the first setting, for setting ON or OFF the viewing restriction function for a second video stream different from the first video stream.

System and method for displaying multimedia events scheduling information

Systems and methods for displaying program guide information are disclosed. In some implementations a method includes, at a computing device having one or more processors and memory storing one or more programs for execution by the one or more processors, formatting, for display, program guide data on a grid. The grid includes (i) a first axis representing units of time and (ii) a second axis representing multimedia channels. The program guide data comprises information representing a set of multimedia events. Responsive to a user-supplied selection of a multimedia event in the set of multimedia events a panel is overlaid on a portion of the grid. The panel provides additional data regarding the multimedia event.

System capable of integrating user-entered game event data with corresponding video data

A mobile application is disclosed enabling a first sporting event spectator to efficiently record game actions and a second sporting event spectator to simultaneously record real-time video of the game actions. Using a mobile device having a touch screen, the first user can efficiently, and with limited user interaction, indicate fast paced game actions of players engaged in a sport. Using a separate mobile device, or a video system in communication with a network, the second user can record video of a presently occurring game in which the game actions occur. A system in communication with the first and second users' devices can receive indications of game actions, and receive video of the game, and associate each indicated game action with a portion of the video of the game action. The system may, for example, use these associations to generate an index that enables users to view descriptions of the game actions and jump to corresponding video clips.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR STITCHING ADVERTISEMENTS IN STREAMING CONTENT
20180007446 · 2018-01-04 · ·

Systems and methods for stitching advertisements in streaming content are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method comprises receiving one or more advertisements. An unmarked content item may be received, the unmarked content item comprising a stream-enabled video including a set of sequential black frames. An insertion point may be identified based on a location of at least one black frame of the set of sequential black frames without requiring user input, the insertion point identified during streaming of the unmarked content item to a consumer system, the insertion point being ahead of a current playback point of the unmarked content item streaming to the consumer system. The one or more advertisements may be stitched in the unmarked content item at the insertion point. The unmarked content item may be streamed to a consumer system until the insertion point is reached, and the one or more advertisements may be streamed to the consumer system when the insertion point is reached.

A method of processing media data. The method includes determining, for a conversion between the media data and a media data file, whether a size and a position of a target picture-in-picture region in a main video are present in the media data file, wherein a supplementary video appears to be overlaid on the target picture-in-picture region when the main video is displayed; and performing the conversion between the media data and the media data file based on the size and the position determined. A corresponding video coding apparatus and non-transitory computer-readable recording medium are also disclosed.

Crowd sourced indexing and/or searching of content
12206926 · 2025-01-21 · ·

Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method, and/or computer program product embodiments for a crowd sourced indexing and/or searching of content. An embodiment operates by receiving one or more requests for content from one or more media devices, each request comprising content identifier information that identifies the content, determining whether crowd sourced content index information has been generated for the content, transmitting a response to the one or more media devices of the one or more media devices, in response to the one or more requests, the response comprising content location information and a content indexing request, and receiving content index information for the content identified by the content identifier information from the one or more media devices.

Method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving broadcast signal for providing trick play service

A method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving a broadcast signal for a trick play are disclosed. The broadcast signal transmitting method includes encoding video data to create a video elementary stream (ES), creating a packetized elementary stream (PES) including the video elementary stream (ES), creating a transport stream (TS) including the created PES, wherein the TS includes PVR assist information for executing a trick play, the PVR assist information includes tier number information and maximum temporal identification information, and the tier number information indicates a tier number having a value obtained by adding 1 to a temporal identification information value of a picture different from a RAP picture and the maximum temporal identification information indicates a maximum temporal identification information value of the video elementary stream (ES) including the encoded video data, and transmitting the created TS.
