Real-time or near real-time streaming
A near real time content streaming system can use a playlist file, in one embodiment, that includes an indicator of the type of content represented by the playlist file. The type can be indicated by a parameter, such as Video on Demand (VOD) or live, or event, that specifies the type of playlist file, and a client device can process the playlist file based upon the type of playlist file indicated by the parameter. For example, the client device, after determining the type of playlist from a playlist file can make efficiency optimizations when processing the playlist file. For example, the client, knowing the playlist file is a VOD playlist, can save the previously used variant playlist when switching to a new variant playlist rather than discarding the previously used variant playlist.
Enodeb reference signal reduction
In embodiments, apparatuses, methods, and storage media may be described for reducing the overhead associated with the transmission of channel training signals from an eNodeB (eNB) of a wireless network. Specifically, the eNB may receive feedback from a user equipment (UE) regarding the received signal energy of a first and second beamformed signal produced with a first and second beamforming vector, respectively. The eNB may identify, based on the feedback of the received signal energy, a signal subspace and a null subspace. The eNB may then transmit a channel training signal to the signal subspace.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR GENERATION OF MEDIA
A method of generating media programming includes providing a first media source having a plurality of media elements, tags associated with each of the media elements, and one or more first media source templates for assembling of the media elements into media programming. The method further includes providing a second media source, the second media source having at least a second template and receiving a request for media programming at the second media source. The method further includes in response to the request, generating media programming including selected ones of the media elements assembled in accordance with at least the second template.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ADAPTING THE DISPLAY OF A VIDEO STREAM BY A CLIENT
A method for adapting the display of a video stream by a client includes a modification of a video tag of the client. The modified video tag is a function of a resolution of equipment supplying the video stream, of a size of a display window for the video stream, and of an accuracy parameter. The modified video tag has the same relation as the resolution to the size of the display window in which the video stream is displayed by the client
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR IMAGE LOADING AND METHODS AND DEVICES FOR VIDEO PLAYBACK
The present disclosure provides methods and devices for image loading. The method includes generating a request message requesting downloading compressed texture data corresponding to a basic image; sending the request message to a server; receiving compression format data sent by the server according to the request message; and sending to a GPU the texture data contained in the compression format data. The present disclosure provides methods and devices for video playback. The method includes extracting webpage source code corresponding to a webpage address entered by a user; determining in the source code a video link address containing a preset protocol header; obtaining an address editing rule and a video player corresponding to the preset protocol header; according to the address editing rule, editing the information and the video link address in the source code into a video playback address containing a preset protocol header; and playing a video resource corresponding to the video playback address.

Wireless local area network (WLAN) traffic load measurement provisioning to wireless cellular networks
Generally, this disclosure provides devices, systems and methods for provisioning of wireless local area network (WLAN) traffic load measurements to third generation partnership project 3GPP wireless cellular networks. A WLAN element manager (EM) may include a polling module to poll a WLAN access point (AP), the polling to request traffic load data from the WLAN AP; a timer module to trigger the polling module to poll at periodic intervals; a logging module to receive and log the requested traffic load data; and an integration reference point (IRP) agent including a reporting module to generate a traffic load report for transmission to a network manager (NM), the traffic load report based on the logged traffic load data.

MOSAIC SERVICE PRESENTATION/DELIVERY METHOD AND APPARATUS
A mosaic service presentation method is disclosed, including receiving a media presentation description file that describes a mosaic service, where the media presentation description file describes presentation locations of logical presentation cells of the mosaic service and mosaic media of the logical presentation cells; obtaining the mosaic media of the logical presentation cells from a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) client according to a logical-presentation-cell mosaic-media description provided in the media presentation description file. The method also includes presenting the mosaic media at the presentation locations of the logical presentation cells according to a logical-presentation-cell presentation-location description provided in the media presentation description file.
