METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ENCODING AND DECODING MULSEMEDIA STREAMS
The method and system of the present invention provides Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH)-based Adaptive Rich Media Delivery Solution (DASH-ARM) which performs adaptive delivery of mulsemedia content by improving the perceived QoE levels which improves user's sense of reality. In its dynamic adjustment of multiple sensorial content characteristics, DASH-ARM performs a trade-off between video quality and presence of diverse other sensorial components which include components such as haptic, olfaction and wind. This trade-off relies on the fact that the presence of other sensorial components has a masking effect on potential audio/video quality variations. DASH-ARM is complemented by an adaptive multi-sensory media stream (mulsemedia) which synchronizes at the user device, where the multimedia content and mulsemedia comprises diverse sensorial stimuli.
METHODS AND APPARATUS OF VIEWPORT ADAPTIVE 360 DEGREE VIDEO DELIVERY
Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for client centric service quality control. A first viewport of a 360 degree video may be determined. The 360 degree video may comprise one or more of an equirectangular, a cube-map, a cylindrical, a pyramidal, and/or a spherical projection mapping. The first viewport may be associated with a spatial region of the 360 degree video. An adjacent area that extends around the spatial region may be determined. A second viewport of the 360 degree video may be determined. A bitstream associated with the 360 degree video may be received. One or more enhanced regions may be included in the bitstream. The one or more enhanced regions may correspond to the first and/or second viewport. A high coding bitrate may be associated with the first viewport and/or the second viewport.
METHODS AND APPARATUS OF VIEWPORT ADAPTIVE 360 DEGREE VIDEO DELIVERY
Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for client centric service quality control. A first viewport of a 360 degree video may be determined. The disclosed technology teaches streamlining use of Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) 130 framework for delivery of addressable advertising, via a campaign management delegate system that carries out a method that includes receiving an ad management service placement request from a broadcast cable provider for ad insertion into a program and conducting real time bidding for ad insertion during the program. The disclosed method also includes accepting new content provided by a successful bidder, after receiving the placement request and automatically formatting the new content, and uploading the new content to the broadcast cable provider in time for playback with content that prompted the placement request. The method includes responding to the placement request with a placement response that includes a VMAP as reference to the new content. New content can also be uploaded to a CIS managed by the cable provider or provided on behalf of the provider.
CONTENT SEGMENTATION AND TIME RECONCILIATION
Systems, devices and methods are described herein for segmentation of content, and more specifically for segmentation of content in a content management system. In one aspect, a method may include receiving content associated with speech, text, or closed captioning data. The speech, the text, or the closed captioning data may be analyzed to derive at least one of a topic, subject, or event for at least a portion of the content. The content may be divided into two or more content segments based on the analyzing. At least one of the topic, the subject, or the event may be associated with at least one of the two or more content segments based on the analyzing. At least one of the two or more content segments may then be published such that each of the two or more content segments is individually accessible.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DISPLAYING AND UPDATING ELECTRONIC INFORMATION ON A DISPLAY DEVICE
A method and system is provided for displaying and updating electronic information on a display device. In an exemplary aspect, the method includes storing first and second digital information relating to first and second products, respectively, and transmitting this information to a display device to be displayed thereon by user interface pages navigable by a user. Moreover, the method includes determining a current page that is being displayed on the display device and determining whether either the first digital information or the second digital information product is being displayed on the current page. When the current page is displaying the first digital information, the method transmits unscheduled updates of the first digital information, such that the current page dynamically displays updated first digital information. Alternatively, when the current page is not displaying the second digital information, the method transmits scheduled updates of the second digital information.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DISPLAYING AND UPDATING ELECTRONIC INFORMATION ON A DISPLAY DEVICE
A method and system is provided for displaying and updating electronic information on a display device. In an exemplary aspect, the method includes storing first and second digital information relating to first and second products, respectively, and transmitting this information to a display device to be displayed thereon by user interface pages navigable by a user. Moreover, the method includes determining a current page that is being displayed on the display device and determining whether either the first digital information or the second digital information product is being displayed on the current page. When the current page is displaying the first digital information, the method transmits unscheduled updates of the first digital information, such that the current page dynamically displays updated first digital information. Alternatively, when the current page is not displaying the second digital information, the method transmits scheduled updates of the second digital information.

Methods, apparatus and systems related to production of a movie, a TV show or a multimedia content are described. In one example aspect, a system for producing a movie includes a pre-production subsystem configured to receive information about a storyline, cameras, cast, and other assets for the movie from a user. The pre-production subsystem is configured to generate one or more machine-readable scripts corresponding to one or more scenes. The system includes a production subsystem configured to receive the scripts from the pre-production system to determine constraints among the scenes. The production subsystem is further configured to determine actions for the cameras and the cast for obtaining footages according to the storyline. The system includes a device management subsystem configured to control the cameras and the cast based on the determined actions by the production system and a post-production editing system configured to receive the footages from the production subsystem for performing video and audio editing.
