Systems and methods are disclosed for extracting media content from social networking services and presenting the extracted content to an IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) user in a personalized and easy-to-consume manner. One or more feeds from social networking services that contain data pertaining to the user's social graph are monitored by a service in the IPTV domain for media content that meets preset criteria and preferences of the user. A social networking dashboard application is hosted in the IPTV environment and includes a user interface arranged with tools to enable the user to set preferences and specify tags that control various aspects of the media content extraction. The service can also monitor the social networking feeds in a real-time manner that enables creation of a knowledge base that is usable to present media content trends to the IPTV user.

A method, device and computer program for providing privacy during delivery of ABR media content to an ABR OTT client device are shown. The method receives an ABR manifest for an ABR media asset; the ABR manifest includes a segmentation-units index that points to segmentation-units in the ABR media asset. Using the segmentation-units index and a customization process, randomized byte-range requests for portions of the ABR media asset are produced and sent. Responsive to receiving the randomized byte-ranges, the ABR media asset is reassembled in order and provided to a media player in the client device.

A method for providing privacy during delivery of ABR media content to a plurality of ABR OTT client devices includes receiving, at a network node that includes a Controlled Cache, an ABR manifest for an ABR media asset. The ABR manifest includes a segmentation-units index. Responsive to receiving a request for the ABR media asset from an ABR OTT client device, the method sends to the ABR OTT client device a custom manifest having a number of segmentation-units in segments that is customized for an ABR playback session. An endpoint computer is protected from malicious distributed configuration profiles. The endpoint computer receives a distributed configuration profile over a computer network. Before installation of the distributed configuration profile in the endpoint computer, features of the distributed configuration profile are used to traverse a supervised decision tree. A rating score is generated based on weights of nodes of the supervised decision tree that are traversed using the features of the distributed configuration profile. The distributed configuration profile is detected to be malicious based at least on the rating score.
