REAL-TIME OR NEAR REAL-TIME STREAMING
A near real time content streaming system can use a playlist file, in one embodiment, that includes an indicator of the type of content represented by the playlist file. The type can be indicated by a parameter, such as Video on Demand (VOD) or live, or event, that specifies the type of playlist file, and a client device can process the playlist file based upon the type of playlist file indicated by the parameter. For example, the client device, after determining the type of playlist from a playlist file can make efficiency optimizations when processing the playlist file. For example, the client, knowing the playlist file is a VOD playlist, can save the previously used variant playlist when switching to a new variant playlist rather than discarding the previously used variant playlist.

MULTIVIEW TV TEMPLATE CREATION AND DISPLAY LAYOUT MODIFICATION
A multi-window user interface (UI) is presented in various configurations and operational uses to leverage the relatively large display canvas afforded by large screen display devices such as 4K or 8K displays. Along with the various Multiview aspects, content delivery techniques, content selection techniques, and level of service techniques also are presented.
Management techniques for wireless network mobility procedures
Connection management techniques for wireless network mobility procedures are described. In one embodiment, for example, an evolved packet core (EPC) node may comprise a processor circuit to receive a notification of a mobility procedure for a user equipment (UE), determine whether to release a local gateway (L-GW)-provided packet data network (PDN) connection of the UE, and in response to a determination that the L-GW-provided PDN connection is to be released, send either a detach request message or a delete session request message to initiate a process for releasing the L-GW-provided PDN connection. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Low power device to device transmission
In embodiments, apparatuses, methods, and storage media may be described for allocating radio resources to a user equipment (UE) for device to device (D2D) transmission. Specifically, the UE may be configured to predict cellular interference to one or more cellular transmissions in a cell that may be caused by the transmission of a D2D signal. Based on that predicted interference, the UE may identify one or more radio resources in for the D2D transmission.

Reception device, transmission device, and data processing method
A device and a method for realizing accurate TTML subtitle data display control are provided. A TTML subtitle data storage packet storing TTML subtitle data as payload of a MMT packet defined in the MMT format, and a signaling message including subtitle-related information corresponding to the TTML subtitle data are transmitted from a transmission device to a reception device. The signaling message defines therein a time mode (TMD) as subtitle display timing control mode, and an operation mode (OPM) of selectively performing instant display of subtitles or TTML description-based display thereof, and the reception device can conduct display control in a designated mode.

Establishment of connection to the internet in cellular network
Some demonstrative embodiments include devices, systems and/or methods to establish a connection to the Internet via a local gateway (L-GW) function for a LIPA or a SIPTO@LN. The establishment of the connection to the Internet may be performed, for example, by at least one of an E-RAB SETUP procedure, an INITIAL CONTEXT SETUP procedure, an INITIAL UE MESSAGE procedure or an UPLINK NAS TRANSPORT procedure.
