The method includes: obtaining a game instruction frame, the game instruction frame including at least one game operation instruction, and the game operation instruction being used for controlling a virtual object; generating a commentary data stream based on the game instruction frame, the commentary data stream including at least one piece of commentary audio describing a game event, and the game event being triggered during the virtual object performing the in-game behavior; rendering a game screen based on the game instruction frame to generate a game video stream, the game video stream including at least one game video frame; and combining the commentary data stream with the game video stream, the game video frame and the commentary audio corresponding to the same game event in the commentary video stream being aligned in time.

The method including analyzing the timing of one or more client operations to set the amount of frame buffering used by the client, as the client receives the plurality of compressed video frames.

Methods, systems, and apparatuses for content deliver, buffer management and synchronization are described herein. Content being played back on a playback platform is analyzed and based on the analysis, asynchronous playback of the content may be determined. A source buffer flush may be performed to correct the asynchronous playback. After the source buffer flush is performed, content segments may be written to the source buffer so that playback of the content on the playback platform resumes with synchronized audio and video.

The frametime is based on a start time of a content item included in the first transport stream and the second transport stream and a completed progression of the content item using the first transport stream. The method includes determining a location in the second transport stream based on the frametime. The method includes generating a second portion of the output based on the second transport stream starting at the location.
