CONTENT SUMMARIES FOR UPCOMING MEDIA ASSETS

Systems and methods are disclosed to provide one or more content summaries for one or more media assets, wherein it is determined that consumption associated with a profile of a media asset will begin at a first time and at a second time that is a period of time prior to the first time, it is caused to be provided one or more content summaries for the one or more media assets, wherein the one or more content summaries are selected based at least on a duration of the content summary, such that a duration of the content summary is not greater than the period of time.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PROVIDING DYNAMIC SUMMARIES OF MISSED CONTENT FROM A GROUP WATCHING EXPERIENCE

Systems and methods are presented for providing dynamic summaries of missed content of content streaming on multiple device. A plurality of groups for a concurrent presentation of a content is identified, and a selection is received by a user via a second device to join a first group of the plurality of groups for the concurrent presentation of the content. Based on a user via the second device joining a group, a determination is made as to whether a user via the second device missed any content from the concurrent presentation of the content for the first group. Based on the detection of missed content, the system generates for the second device one or more summaries of the missed content segments and the missed reactions to the segments based on preferences associated with the user profile. In response to generating the summaries, the summaries are presented via the second device to the user.

Systems and methods for generating summaries of missed portions of media assets

A media guidance application may determine a length of a portion of a media asset that the user has missed and compare the length with a threshold length. If the length is greater than the threshold length, the media guidance application may generate a first summary of the missed portion of the media asset based on segments of the missed portion of the media asset that are of a first importance. If the length is not greater than the threshold length, the media guidance application may generate a second summary of the missed portion of the media asset based on segments of the missed portion of the media asset that are of the first importance and the second importance. The media guidance application may generate for display the summary.

Methods, apparatus and systems related to production of a movie, a TV show or a multimedia content are described. In one example aspect, a system for producing a multimedia digital content includes a pre-production subsystem configured to receive information about a storyline, cameras, cast, and other assets for the content from a user. The pre-production subsystem is configured to generate one or more machine-readable scripts that include information about one or more advertisements. The system includes a production subsystem configured to receive the one or more machine-readable scripts from the pre-production system to obtain a footage according to the storyline. The production subsystem is further configured to embed one or markers corresponding to the one or more advertisements in the footage. The system also includes a post-production editing subsystem configured to detect the one or more markers embedded in the footage and replace each of the one or more markers with a corresponding advertising target.

Composite video competition

A method may include serially joining different video clips from videos of different historical competitions to form a composite video competition, the different video clips comprising an indeterminate subset of clips drawn from a larger pool of clips, wherein each clip from a historical competition has an associated partial result contribution to a final result of the historical competition further include presenting a result during the composite video competition, the result comprising a linked combination of the partial result contributions from the different video clips.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR GENERATING A SUMMARY OF CONTENT BASED ON A CO-RELATION GRAPH

Provided are systems and methods for generating a customized summary of content for a user using a co-relation graph and a user preference. The co-relation graph maps, for each segment of the content, summary information of the segment and a characteristic of the segment. The system identifies, using the co-relation graph, a subset of the segments of the content based on the user preference and the characteristics of the segments. The customized summary of the content is generated based on the summary information for the identified subset of segments. The system may also use a current presentation time of the content to limit which segments are used to generate the summary. The system can also use a priority ranking to exclude summary information from less important segments to keep the summary within a desired size.
