Disclosed herein is a method for generating an image using an electronic device having a color camera, comprising: activating the color camera and a camera application on the electronic device; displaying, through the camera application, a preview image generated by the color camera; determining, automatically, whether the preview image includes an image of a first object; displaying, through the camera application in response to a determination that the preview image includes the image of the first object, a first image generated by the color camera, the first image including a color region corresponding to the first object and a grayscale region corresponding to objects that are not the first object; and displaying, through the camera application in response to a determine that the preview image does not include any image of the first object, a second image generated by the color camera, the second image is a grayscale image.

A computing device automatically determines when a user wishes to capture an image of an object in a scene via a camera of the computing device. In response, the computing device presents at a display screen an image of the scene together with an overlay template. The overlay template corresponds in shape to the object in the scene and is overlaid on the object in the scene when displayed at the display screen. The overlay template is not displayed at the display screen when the computing device does not determine that a user wishes to capture an image of an object in the scene.

Certain embodiments provide an imaging method for a non-line-of-sight object and an electronic device. In certain embodiments, the method includes: detecting a first input operation; and generating first image data in response to the first input operation. The first image data is imaging data of the non-line-of-sight object obtained by fusing second image data and third image data. The first image data includes position information between the non-line-of-sight object and a line-of-sight object. The second image data is imaging data of the line-of-sight object captured by the optical camera. The third image data is imaging data of the non-line-of-sight object captured by the electromagnetic sensor.
