A method for transmitting an image and an electronic device thereof are provided. An image transmission method of an electronic device includes displaying a message transmission/reception history with at least one other electronic device, sensing a selection of a camera execution menu, displaying a preview screen of a camera within a screen in which the message transmission/reception history is displayed, detecting a touch on the displayed preview screen, if the displayed preview screen is touched, capturing an image of a subject, detecting a gesture for the captured image, and, if the gesture for the captured image is detected, transmitting the captured image to the at least one other electronic device according to the detected gesture.

This invention provides a system for sharing real-time recording and the method thereof. The system in this invention transmits the traffic image from the traffic recording device to the cloud server database for storage by the hand-held communication device. Here, the system for sharing real-time recording includes at least three parts: a traffic recording device, a hand-held communication device and a cloud server. User can automatically transmit traffic image provided by the vehicle event data recorder capable of transmitting traffic image to the cloud server by the system and its method disclosed here to achieve real-time sharing of the traffic images.

Performing optical mark recognition (OMR) scanning includes receiving a first substrate to be scanned, the first substrate having one or more colors visible to a human eye and bearing user-made marks; scanning the first substrate using a plurality of colors of light emitted from a light sensor to simultaneously generate both (a) first image data representing a visual appearance of the first substrate, and (b) first OMR data corresponding to respective locations of the user-made marks on the first substrate; transmitting from a first page buffer at least a portion of the first image data and/or at least a portion of the first OMR data; receiving a second substrate to be scanned; and during the transmitting from the first page buffer, simultaneously scanning the second substrate.

A communication apparatus has a communication function which can concurrently perform first communication via another apparatus and second communication not via the other apparatus. When an error related to the second apparatus occurs while no error related to the first communication has occurred in a state in which the first communication and the second communication are concurrently performed, the communication apparatus stops the second communication without performing reactivation automatically.

It is made possible to print an image stored in an image processing apparatus by a printing apparatus without requiring a complicated operation. By a printing apparatus operating as a first access point by fixed authentication information, in the case where the communication is controlled in a first mode for performing a wireless LAN connection with an image processing apparatus storing the fixed authentication information, a beacon signal including a specific SSID included in the fixed authentication information is transmitted, and in the case where the image processing apparatus receives printing instructions, a connection without intervention of a second access point different from the printing apparatus and the image processing apparatus is established with the printing apparatus by using the fixed authentication information and an image to be printed is transmitted to the printing apparatus on a condition that a beacon signal including the specific SSID is detected.

An information processing apparatus to connect with a printer and a display, includes: a processor to control the printer to print one or more images that are obtained to output one or more printed images, in response to a print request received from a first user; and control the display to display the one or more images that have been printed with the printer, the images being displayed to one or more users other than the first user.

An image forming apparatus including applications and system side software for providing system side services to the applications is provided, in which the image forming apparatus includes: an authentication module for displaying an authentication screen on an operation panel of the image forming apparatus, wherein the authentication module allows the image forming apparatus to display a screen for using the image forming apparatus instead of the authentication screen if authentication data input from the authentication screen satisfies an authentication condition, and wherein the authentication module is provided in the image forming apparatus separately from the system side software.

A networked printer system includes a first printer coupled to a network. The first printer includes a first printer address book having a plurality of address book contents that are located in a plurality of Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Object Identifiers (OIDs). A second printer is coupled to the network. The second printer includes a processor, a communications device coupled to the processor, and a computer-readable medium coupled to the processor. An address book transferring engine is located on the computer-readable medium and includes computer-readable instruction that when executed connect to the first printer through the communications device over the network using SNMP, retrieve the plurality of address book contents from the plurality of SNMP OIDs, and transfer the plurality of address book contents to a second printer address book that is associated with the second printer.

A computer system maps unique addresses to the conventional fax numbers of conventional fax devices (such as conventional fax machines and computing devices having conventional fax capabilities). A transmitting user who is connected to the Internet may send an IP fax to a receiving user who is also connected to the Internet by addressing the receiving user using the receiving user's unique address, even if the sending user and receiving user are not within the same local network. A server outside of the receiving user's local network mediates the transmission of the IP fax from the transmitting user to the receiving user. The server may select a preferred transmission method of the recipient (e.g., conventional fax, IP fax, email, or secure document delivery) and transmit the fax to the receiving user using that preferred transmission method. Transmitted faxes may be in color and/or contain high-definition content.

A system and method for servicing of devices includes a processor, associated memory and a user interface including a display. A display generator generates images on the display. The memory stores device data for each of a plurality of serviceable devices. Device data for each device includes a unique device identifier and associated device status data. The display generator is displays an image including a device data list on the display. The user interface receives filter data from an associated user and the processor generates a subset of the device data in accordance with received filter data. The processor generates a label corresponding to the subset and stores the label in the memory. The processor further receives a device inquiry from the associated user via the user interface, and the display generator generates a labeled display image including the label responsive to a received device inquiry.
