A document processing system includes a controller for controlling at least one part of the document processing system, a user interface for allowing a user to interact with the document processing system, and a mobile device capable of communicating with the controller in the document processing system via a wireless link. A locating function is provided for locating the mobile device. The user interface has a hierarchical structure with at least three levels each of which is associated with a class of local entities each of which contains at least a part of the document processing system. The local entities are nested such that each lower level entity is contained in an entity associated with a superior level in the hierarchy. A selection function is provided for automatically selecting one of the hierarchical levels dependent upon the local entities in which the mobile device is located.

Communication system, communication device, and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions for information processing device

A communication system may comprise an information processing device and a communication device. Communication between the communication device and the information processing device using the first wireless communication scheme may be performed. The communication device may send the connectable network identification information to the information processing device. Communication between the information processing device and the communication device using the second wireless communication scheme and using the second network may be executed, in case that the first network belongs is not included in one or more networks identified by the connectable network identification information. Communication between the information processing device and the communication device using the second wireless communication scheme and using the first network may be executed, in case that the first network is included in the one or more networks identified by the one or more connectable network identification information.

Method for executing an imaging data request from a mobile device to an image processing apparatus using a public and private network
09832341 · 2017-11-28 · ·

A mobile data processing method, in which a request for performing an imaging data request by an image processing apparatus is initiated from a user of a mobile device. The method includes receiving first information generated by an image processing apparatus and second information generated by the mobile device. The first information and the second information are received by an information processing apparatus via a public network. The first and second information are stored in association with each other. The method continues by determining if a print job was received with the first information and the second information. The method may conclude by transmitting the imaging data request to the image processing apparatus from the information processing apparatus via a private network in response to determining that the imaging data request was received with the first information and the second information.

Function Executing Device with Two Types of Wireless Communication Interfaces

A function executing device is configured to send a wireless identifier to a communication device via a first type of wireless communication interface for setting up a wireless connection. The function executing device is configured to determine whether the function executing device is in an error state and, if not, to establish the wireless connection via a second type of wireless communication interface. The function executing device operates in a parent state in the wireless connection. Additionally, print data may be received from the communication device. However, if the function executing device is in an error state the wireless connection is not established via the second type of wireless communication interface.
