A grill for cooking food has a housing with side walls and a cover. One of the side walls has an opening. A drawer has drawer side walls, a front, and an open bottom. The drawer has a grill surface. The drawer is located in the opening and is moveable between an open position and a closed position. When the drawer is in the closed position, the drawer is located in the housing with the grill surface located above the heat source, and when the drawer is in the open position, the grill surface is substantially located outside of the housing interior. An absorbent curtain is located outside of the housing interior space and between the one housing side wall and the drawer front. The curtain collapses when the drawer is in the closed position, and the curtain being extended and located below the grill surface when the drawer is in the open position.

A mechanism for raising and lowering a cooking surface within a recessed combustion chamber is provided.

A solid fuel cooking range is described herein. Embodiments enable the user to cook food on an upper grill while simultaneously heating a separate dish in a lower oven. In certain embodiments, heat may be applied to the oven from both the top and bottom. Heat and airflow may be controlled using a shroud which does not enclose the sides of the upper cooking area and separate end plates. Embodiments may be portable and lightweight which enables the solid fuel cooking range to be used while traveling and in emergency situations.

A collapsible support stand is disclosed. The support stand includes a first support section and a second support section. The first support section includes a first side frame and a plurality of first bars extending perpendicularly from the first side frame. The second support section includes a second side frame parallel to the first side frame, a first centre frame defining a plurality of holes, and a plurality of second bars extending between the second side frame and the first centre frame, wherein axial movement of the plurality of first bars through the plurality of holes moves the first support section between an extended position and a retracted position relative to the second support section. The support stand includes a pair of first foldable legs connected to the first side frame and a pair of second foldable legs connected to the second side frame.

The shelved cooking system holds both the food items within the barrel during the cooking process and the fuel source utilized to generate the heat energy to cook the food items. The frame holds the winch mechanism offset from the barrel. The winch mechanism facilitates the retrieval of the shelved cooking system from the barrel as well as the reintroduction of the shelved cooking system into the barrel.

Provided is a portable grill device including at least one substantially vertical, flat heat source, at least one support for food to be grilled that is arranged in front of the heat source, at least one drive unit for rotating the at least one support for food to be grilled about a substantially vertical axis of rotation, and a power supply for supplying the drive unit with the power required for the operation thereof. The portable grill device includes at least one adjustment unit which is designed to steplessly adjust a spacing between the at least one heat source and the at least one support for food to be grilled, during operation of the grill device.

Embodiments of a cooking station for cooking a food product are provided. In one embodiment, the cooking station includes a main body and an insert. The main body includes a vertically extending wall extending between a closed bottom end and a closable upper end with a lid. The main body is configured to extend longitudinally in a vertical orientation. The main body defines a lower insert opening and an upper insert opening, the main body including a slideable door moveable to close-off either the lower and upper insert openings. The insert is sized and configured to be removably positioned through either one of the lower insert opening and the upper insert opening, the first insert having heating element container structure configured to deliver heat to the food product.

An express barbeque for cooking food includes a housing including a base and a lid with a cooking chamber therein. A grill is positionable in the base to support the food, with a food splatter area defined about the grill. Heat distributors are positioned about the cooking chamber offset laterally from the food splatter area. Each of the heat distributors includes a perforated pipe and a corresponding heat diverter. Each of the perforated pipes is shaped to receive heat from a heat source, and each has the corresponding heat diverter positioned thereabout to pass the heat from the perforated pipe through the cooking chamber whereby cooking of the food is facilitated. A cooking drawer may be slidably retractable from the housing. The cooking drawer may include the upper grill and a lower drip tray. The lower drip tray is connected below the grill to catch drippings therefrom.

An insert is provided for use in a cooking apparatus that alters the pressure profile, air velocity profile, and airflow pattern within said cooking apparatus in order to achieve a cyclonic air profile around food to be cooked. The insert includes a ring-shaped insert body formed by a continuous sidewall. The sidewall has an external surface and an internal surface, and a top end and a bottom end. The insert also includes a deflection plate.
