The invention pertains to an accessory for adapting cooking grills, especially kettle and kamado style grills for better cooking of pizzas and other foods not typically thought of as appropriate for grilling. The accessory is an insert that is adapted to sit between the bottom and the top of the grill and is generally shaped with a horizontal cross-section substantially similar to the horizontal cross section at the junction of the bottom and the top of the grill with which it is adapted to work. The insert increases the height of the cooking chamber. The insert includes a side opening or window through which food may be inserted and removed from the expanded cooking chamber without the need to open or remove the top of the grill.

A control system for use with an outdoor cooking apparatus may include a hub and an axle housing adapted to slidably couple with a hub. The control system may also include a motor mounted at or near the upper end of the axle housing and an axle mechanically coupled to the motor and extending through the axle housing to a free end emerging from the lower end of the axle housing. The control system may also include a support coupling attached to the free end of the axle, the support coupling being adapted to support a food support below the axle housing. The axle housing may be selectively arranged and secured relative to the sleeve to position the height of the support coupling relative to the lower end of the axle housing and the axle may rotate about its longitudinal axis when the motor is turned on.

A live fire grill lift system uses a direct drive acme gear system to raise and lower a grilling surface, which may be performed utilizing a hand wheel mounted to a horizontal metal rod and coupled to a bevel gear. The hand wheel can be rotated to raise and lower the grilling surface. The grill lift system does not use cables or chain systems to raise and lower the grilling surface, making it safer and longer lasting.

A grill roller system which is elevated with respect to a grilling surface and which may be freely swung between multiple positions. The grill roller system generally includes a base which is positioned or connected to a grill. A frame is pivotally connected to the base such that the frame may swing, pivot, or rotate between a plurality of positions including a first position which covers the grilling surface and a second position which exposes the grilling surface. A plurality of rollers on the frame may be utilized to rotate and evenly cook cylindrical food items such as hot dogs while other food items such as steaks are simultaneously cooking on the underlying grill surface. The system may also include a rotator assembly for automatically or manually rotating the rollers.

Embodiments of a griddle of the type for an outdoor cooking station is provided herein. The griddle includes a flat cooking surface with a splash guard extending along a periphery of the flat cooking surface. The flat cooking surface defines a trough positioned adjacent a rear end of the cooking surface such that the trough includes a sloping surface extending downward toward a rear opening defined in the splash guard along and adjacent the rear end of the flat cooking surface. With this arrangement, as a user cooks food on the griddle, unwanted grease may be pushed to the rear of the griddle and into the trough so that the grease funnels down the sloped surface and through the rear opening and into a grease container centered below the rear opening.

A disposable grill assembly includes a base that is selectively positioned on a support surface. A stand is coupled to and extends upwardly from the base. A pan is provided and the pan is selectively positioned on the stand having the pan being spaced from the support surface. The pan contains a flammable fuel source and the pan is comprised of a heat resistant material to have the flammable fuel source burnt therein for cooking. A grill is selectively positioned on the pan such that the grill is in thermal communication with the flammable fuel source. The food item is positioned on the grill for cooking.

Embodiments of a griddle of the type for an outdoor cooking station is provided herein. The griddle includes a flat cooking surface with a splash guard extending along a periphery of the flat cooking surface. The flat cooking surface defines a trough positioned adjacent a rear end of the cooking surface such that the trough includes a sloping surface extending downward toward a rear opening defined in the splash guard along and adjacent the rear end of the flat cooking surface. With this arrangement, as a user cooks food on the griddle, unwanted grease may be pushed to the rear of the griddle and into the trough so that the grease funnels down the sloped surface and through the rear opening and into a grease container centered below the rear opening.

This invention is directed toward a rotating grill with adjustable grills that is both attractive and effective. The various grilling surfaces can be raised or lowered to allow for the different types of cooking that this device allows. A rotating base allows the user of the invention to rotate it, both for maximizing cooking and serving efficiency, and for entertainment of those waiting for food. A variety of side pieces and tables are available to provide more storage space for good and condiments/seasonings, and the base unit may, optionally, have space for internal storage.

A portable base and grill assembly with few parts, that is collapsible, robust, and easily portable and storable is provided. The base includes two parts: a collapsible frame for containing combustion and an insert for holding combustible material including wood and charcoal. The portable grill includes two parts: a collapsible stand and a cooking surface. The cooking surface is a rollable grill that can support cookware or be used to cook food directly. The height of the stand may be adjusted to raise or lower the cooking surface above a heat source. The portable base, portable grill and cooking surface may each be used as a standalone apparatus or combined and used together as in the assembly. The base and grill assembly may be constructed wholly of stainless steel for durability.

A rotisserie device including a support ring for use in a partially opened hinged covered ceramic or metal grill or in a partially opened unhinged covered metal kettle charcoal grill having a front-mounted cover handle. The device has a generally wedge-shaped or trapezoidally-shaped external side profile that tapers from a maximum height nearest the handle to a minimum height furthest from the handle. The device includes at least one motor mounted outside the ring the drives a removable, rotatable rotisserie spit. The device facilitates rotisserie grilling of large meat cuts above accessories installed in the top of the grill base.
