An image processing apparatus communicates with a chat server configured to control sharing of received image data in a transmission destination group based on received information about the group. The image processing apparatus includes a registration unit configured to register a group of the chat server in association with an object, the group serving as a transmission destination of image data, an obtaining unit configured to obtain identification information corresponding to the group from the chat server, a display unit configured to display the registered object, and a transmission unit configured to transmit, if the displayed object is selected, the image data and the information about the group serving as the transmission destination to the chat server. The display unit displays the identification information with the object.

An example image forming apparatus includes a user interface device, an image forming job operator, a processor, and a memory. The processor executes instructions to display a preview screen of a document through the user interface device, perform an embedding process of embedding user-specific information into a plurality of user-specific information input areas included in the document, display state information of the plurality of user-specific information input areas on the preview screen in synchronization with progress of the embedding process, and, when the embedding process is completed, perform an image forming job with respect to the document in which the user-specific information is embedded, through the image forming job operator.

According to one embodiment, an image processing apparatus includes a storage unit and a controller. The storage unit is configured to store a firmware that executes a process relating to a basic function of the image processing apparatus. The controller is configured to execute the firmware. The controller stores an application program that executes a process relating to an additional function different from the basic function in the storage unit according to a first operation received by the firmware, executes the application program according to a second operation received by the firmware, and controls a process relating to the additional function among processes to be executed by the application program according to a third operation received by the firmware.

A server controls a status of a document transmitted by facsimile transmission from a sender apparatus to a receiver apparatus. When establishing a connection with an external apparatus for wireless communication, an information processing apparatus suppresses the connection establishment based on an unauthorized connection request, by determining whether or not information showing a name of the external apparatus included in each of a plurality of received wireless connection requests in a state capable of accepting the wireless connection request is the same, determining whether or not apparatus intrinsic information included in each of the plurality of received wireless connection requests in the state capable of accepting the wireless connection request is the same, and shifting, in a case where it is determined that the information showing the name of the external apparatus is the same and it is determined that the apparatus intrinsic information is not the same, the information processing apparatus to a state incapable of accepting the wireless connection request.

A print processing system includes a plurality of image forming apparatuses, a terminal device, and a mobile device. A first controller of the terminal device is capable of writing information necessary for transmitting the print data, in the memory of the mobile device. A second controller of the image forming apparatus executes, upon reading out the necessary information written by the first controller from the memory of the mobile device, via the second wireless communication device, a first process necessary for transmitting the print data. A second controller of the image forming apparatus is capable of writing the necessary information in the memory of the mobile device. The first controller of the terminal device executes, upon reading out the necessary information written by the second controller from the memory of the mobile device, via the first wireless communication device, a second process necessary for transmitting the print data.

An image forming apparatus that forms an image on a recording medium includes: an image forming unit that forms an image on a recording medium and is capable of forming an image for diagnosis, which is an image used for diagnosis of the image forming apparatus; and an adding unit that adds, to a recording medium on which the image for diagnosis has been formed by the image forming unit, information for control used to control output of a reading result from an apparatus used to read the recording medium, the reading result being obtained by reading the recording medium by the apparatus.
