An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: acquire a result of diagnosis of one image forming apparatus made on a basis of a result of reading of a recording medium on which an image has been formed by the one image forming apparatus and that has been read by another image forming apparatus having an image reading function; acquire other apparatus information, which is information concerning the other image forming apparatus; and generate a screen including both of the result of the diagnosis and the other apparatus information.

An entertainment system includes a user interactive device having an identification assembly configured to generate a pattern of light via reflective material, a camera configured to capture the pattern of light generated by the reflective material, and a controller having processing circuitry and a memory. The memory stores machine-readable instructions configured to cause the processing circuitry to receive an indication of the pattern of light and determine identification data associated with the user interactive device based on the pattern of light.

A first communication apparatus may repeat a broadcast transmission of a trigger signal via a second interface, which is a signal to be used by a second communication apparatus as a trigger for sending a wireless connection request to the first communication apparatus. A system for tracking the location of an electronic device includes an electronic device and a wireless location tag. The wireless location tag includes a microcontroller unit, and a modular connector interface configured to be communicatively coupled to a port of the electronic device. The wireless location tag is configured to establish an Internet connection to one or more backend electronic devices in response to detecting that the wireless location tag has been communicatively coupled to the port of the electronic device, obtain identifying information that is associated with the electronic device, and identify tag identifying information associated with the wireless location tag. The wireless location tag is also configured to send one or more instructions to the one or more backend electronic devices via the Internet connection, and send one or more ping messages to the one or more backend electronic devices.

A portable information device including a body, a position information portion that is provided in the body and that outputs position information, an image sensor that is provided in the body, a display system that is provided in the body and that displays, on a local field in a screen field, relevant information based on the position information such that the displayed relevant information is overlapped on a real-time image, an input portion that is provided on the body and, by use of which user operates an icon, the icon being displayed on the local field such that the displayed icon is overlapped on the real-time image and an imaging button that is provided, separately from the input portion, on the body and that is operated by user to capture a subject image via the image sensor.

A disclosed managing apparatus and image forming apparatus management system ensure confidentiality of information in an image forming apparatus while usability is maintained. An image forming apparatus acquires IC card identifying information with an IC card reader. A management server acquires a user ID associated with the acquired IC card identifying information and use limit information concerning use of the image forming apparatus. A process is performed in the image forming apparatus in accordance with the use limit information.

An information processing apparatus includes a first communication unit configured to communicate with a first communication apparatus; a second communication unit configured to wirelessly communicate with each of one or more second wireless communication apparatuses; an acquisition unit configured to acquire from the first communication apparatus via the first communication unit an apparatus ID that is held by the first communication apparatus and that is used for identifying one of the one or more second wireless communication apparatuses to or from which the second communication unit transmits or receives data; and a control unit configured to control the second communication unit to transmit or receive the data to or from the one of the one or more second wireless communication apparatuses that is identified by the apparatus ID acquired by the acquisition unit.

An image processing apparatus communicates with a chat server configured to control sharing of received image data in a transmission destination group based on received information about the group. The image processing apparatus includes a registration unit configured to register a group of the chat server in association with an object, the group serving as a transmission destination of image data, an obtaining unit configured to obtain identification information corresponding to the group from the chat server, a display unit configured to display the registered object, and a transmission unit configured to transmit, if the displayed object is selected, the image data and the information about the group serving as the transmission destination to the chat server. The display unit displays the identification information with the object.

To enable identification of a user who has transmitted image data generated by scanning by an image processing apparatus, the image processing apparatus that communicates with a chat server that performs control, based on received information indicating a talk room of the chat server, to display information indicating received image data and transmission source user information indicating a user who has transmitted the image data on the talk room includes a reading unit configured to read an image of an original document and generate image data based on the image, a designation unit configured to designate a talk room of the chat server; and a transmission unit configured to transmit the image data generated by the reading unit, information indicating the talk room designated by the designation unit and the transmission source user information to the chat server.

An image processing apparatus communicates with a chat server configured to control sharing of received image data in a transmission destination group based on received information about the group. The image processing apparatus includes a registration unit configured to register a group of the chat server in association with an object, the group serving as a transmission destination of image data, an obtaining unit configured to obtain identification information corresponding to the group from the chat server, a display unit configured to display the registered object, and a transmission unit configured to transmit, if the displayed object is selected, the image data and the information about the group serving as the transmission destination to the chat server. The display unit displays the identification information with the object.
