Each of vehicles acquires its own position, and transmits an image of a nearby outside taken by an own camera and a piece of information of the own position. An information center communicatable wirelessly with the vehicles receives the images and the pieces of information of the vehicles' positions transmitted by the vehicles, and recognizes pieces of first character information appearing in the received images, respectively. Based on the received pieces of information of the vehicles' positions as well as at least either points of interest or areas stored as collection target information, the information center determines at least either points of interest or areas for the recognized pieces of first character information, respectively, and stores association information where the pieces of first character information are associated with the determined at least either points of interest or areas.

A server apparatus includes an acceptance section that accepts from a personal computer a print completion date and time that is the date and time when printing of a teaching material content is completed, a determination section that determines a print start date and time that is the date and time to start printing the teaching material content based on the print completion date and time and a print turnaround period that is the period required to print the teaching material content, and a print instruction section that transmits to the printer a print start instruction that instructs start of the printing of the teaching material content at the print start date and time, and the printer includes a print execution section that starts printing the teaching material content at the print start date and time when the printer receives the print start instruction from the server apparatus.

A verification system includes: a code generation server publicizing time stamped codes; a proving device, including a video camera, that acquires a published time stamped code from the code generation server, and, while recording a video, incorporates the acquired time stamped code into the video; and a verifying device that receives the video, extracts the time stamped code from the content of the video, compares the time stamped code to published time stamped codes, and displays a verification of the published time stamped code.

In various embodiments, methods, systems, and vehicles are provided for distance determinations using cameras from different vehicles. The system includes a first camera onboard a first vehicle, providing a first image, the first image having therein an object of interest (OOI) for which a distance from the first vehicle is desired; and a second camera, providing second camera data including a second image having therein the OOI. The system further includes a control module configured to process and time synchronize first camera data and second camera data to generate a distance determination for the OOI, using the first camera data, the second camera data, and a distance between the first and second camera.

This disclosure relates generally to edge computing, and more particularly to method and system for optimizing image data for data transmission. In one embodiment, a method is provided for optimizing image data for transmission to a server. The method may include receiving a plurality of server rules from the server with respect to an optimization and a transmission of the image data, generating a plurality of local decision making rules based on the plurality of server rules and one or more local events, analyzing at least a first portion of the image data based on the plurality of local decision making rules to generate image analytics data, and generating optimized image data for transmission to the server. The optimized image data comprises at least a second portion of the image data and the image analytics data.

An image processing apparatus includes a movement estimation unit that estimates, on the basis of a first timestamp provided to an image captured by synchronous scanning, an event signal generated corresponding to an intensity change of light at one or a plurality of pixels of the image, and a second timestamp that is provided to the event signal and is in synchronism with the first timestamp, a movement of an imaging target in the image, an inverse filter generation unit that generates an inverse filter on the basis of the movement, and a filter application unit that applies the inverse filter to the image.

The invention includes a print terminal that prints input image data and outputs the input image data as a print image, and an image storage server that is connected to the print terminal via a public network, and that stores the image data sent from the print terminal and user identification information. The print terminal creates, out of the print image, user identification information based on photographing location information and photographing date/time information included as data in a user identification information image specified by the user. A system of identifying end-user processes in a print environment receives job data corresponding to jobs that have been processed by one or more print devices in a print environment over a time period, and identifies a plurality of processing operations initiated by a user during the time period. The system determines whether the plurality of processing operations comprise a scan processing operation that was performed after a print processing operation and within a second time period from performance of the print processing operation. In response to determining that the plurality of processing operations comprise a scan processing operation initiated by the user that was performed within the second time period from a print processing operation, the system generates a digital representation of an end user process that includes the first processing operation and the second processing operation, and presents a visual representation of the end user process for validation.

A printer is caused to perform a checking print for a job in a case that a predetermined user's instruction is received via a user interface. The printer is caused to perform the checking print for the job without receiving the predetermined user's instruction in a case that the job meets a predetermined condition.
