An image processing apparatus that performs print processing based on a job includes a reception unit configured to receive an operation performed by a user, a change unit configured to, in response to the reception unit receiving a predetermined operation, change a job on which the print processing is not yet completed to a suspended state, and a job control unit configured to, when detecting a logout event that causes a user who is logged into the image processing apparatus to log out of the image processing apparatus, resume at least one job and cancel a job or jobs that are not resumed by the job control unit selected from jobs changed by the change unit to be in the suspended state.

The communication interface is configured to transmit the scan data to the transmission destination designated on the operation panel. The processor is configured to transmit the scan data to the transmission destination without a password in response to the transmission destination designated on the operation panel being a transmission destination of an operator who operates the operation panel, and transmit the scan data protected with a password to the transmission destination in response to the transmission destination designated on the operation panel including a transmission destination of any person other than the operator.

According to one embodiment, information regarding an event, associated with a component of the Internet fax service architecture, that is to be logged, is received by a centralized audit logging module of the Internet fax service architecture. The component may be a web server, an email server, a fax server, a notification server or an imaging system. The information is utilized by the centralized audit logging module to determine specific parameters within the Internet fax service architecture to be logged. Finally, the event, including the information and the specific parameters, is recorded by the centralized audit logging module to an audit log associated with the Internet fax service architecture in a standardized format.

Methods and systems for an auditing infrastructure for an Internet fax service architecture are provided. According to one embodiment, information regarding an event, associated with a component of the Internet fax service architecture, that is to be logged, is received by a centralized audit logging module of the Internet fax service architecture. An image forming apparatus records identification information of an external memory and identification information of a scan job as a log when the external memory is attached to start the scan job. When the external memory is removed in the middle of the scan job, scan data is temporarily saved together with the identification information of the job. When the removed external memory is attached, for example, in a ready state, log data is referred to determine whether the external memory is that removed in the middle of the job and whether the scan data associated with the external memory is saved. When it is determined that the scan data is saved, the scan data is saved in the external memory.
