Toaster

A toaster includes an activation element, a power circuit, a heating device and a control device. When the activation element is moved to turn on the power circuit, the control device is powered such that an electromagnet is activated to attract a retaining element to hold the activation element and to actuate a two-state switch, which allows passage of electrical power to the heating device. After a time interval has elapsed, the control device stops the electromagnet from attracting the retaining element such that the retaining element no longer actuates the two-state switch, which cuts off electric power provided to the heating device.

A circuit configuration is disclosed for use in an appliance includes a power switch configured to open and close a first group of electrical contacts, where the contacts while closed cause the appliance to energize upon a user initiating a use of the appliance. The circuit configuration also includes a primary timing device electrically connected to the first group of electrical contacts, the primary timing device being actuated upon energization of the appliance and the primary timing device being configured to de-energize the appliance after a first time period by opening the first group of electrical contacts. The circuit configuration also includes a secondary timing device electrically connected to the power switch by a second group of electrical contacts, where the secondary timing device is configured to de-energize the appliance after a second time period, where the second time period is set based on the first time period.

A toaster which has a plurality of pre-configured buttons which each have their respective pre-defined quantities for time and duration that the toast (or any other food that fits into the toaster) will cook for. An adjustment dial is present which adjusts the time to cook which modifies the time that the selected button will cook for. In this manner, a user can easily control the parameters that the toaster will cook for so the desired consistency of toast can be achieved.

An electromagnetic switch includes a base, a first static contact piece, a second static contact piece, a movable contact piece, a movable member and an intermediate driving member; the movable contact piece is electrically connected to the first static contact piece; the movable contact piece comprises an on-off portion capable of moving up and down; the movable member is rotatably connected to the base; the movable member comprises a first action portion; the intermediate driving member allows the on-off portion to move down to contact the second static contact piece or move up to be away from the second static contact piece; the electromagnetic driving assembly includes a coil and a magnetic core; the magnetic core is capable of moving up to push the first action portion up when the coil is electrified.

Toaster

In the toaster, the first switch is connected with the neutral wire terminal and the heating element; the second switch and the power-off protection switch are connected in series between the live wire terminal and the heating element; the output end of the rectifier circuit is respectively connected with the electromagnet and the timing control circuit; when the lifting plate moves from the ejected position to the working position, the first pressing part depresses the first switch to a closed state, the second pressing part depresses each of the second switch and the power-off protection switch to a closed state, the electromagnet is energized and attracts the attracting part, the heating element starts to work; when the electromagnet is disconnected from the timing control circuit, the attracting part is released, the lifting plate springs upward, the power-off protection switch changes to an opened state, and the heating element stops working.

A toaster oven comprising a housing defining a food cavity, an opening defined in the housing, a door movably affixed to the housing, a cooking grid selectively mountable within the housing, one or more heating elements within the housing, a timer controlling activation of the heating elements, and a timer control knob engaged with the timer. The timer control knob is selectively rotatable in a second direction from the off position to a third position to activate at least one of the one or more heating elements until the timer control knob is selectively rotated in the first direction back to the off position. The timer control knob has a selectively depressible pushbutton, such that the timer control knob is only selectively rotatable in the second direction from the off position to the third position when the pushbutton is depressed.
