An apparatus (1) for inspecting an identity document (D) is disclosed, wherein the identity document, which includes an RFID tag and a printed code, is positioned on the apparatus in a reading area (3) where a linear image sensor, which is movable by a motor-driven command, performs a scan to read the code of the document, and in which an RFID device communicates with the RFID tag, authentication of the identity document being performed by comparing the information supplied by the linear image sensor and the information supplied by the RFID device.

According to one embodiment, there is provided an image forming device that prevents write information from being incorrectly written to a non-target RFID tag. The image forming device according to the embodiment includes: a placement unit, a wireless tag communication unit, and a conductor. A sheet provided with a wireless tag can be placed in the placement unit. The wireless tag communication unit can write information to the wireless tag provided on the sheet. The conductor is provided in the placement unit and hinders communication between the wireless tag communication unit and the wireless tag.

A multi-function printer includes a generating section, an image recognition section, a speaking section, and a transmitting section. The generating section scans an original document to generate scan data. The image recognition section performs image recognition on the scan data. The speaking section causes a word corresponding to a recognition result of the image recognition section and corresponding to a drawing, a photograph, or the like included in the original document to be spoken from a speaker circuit. The transmitting section transmits the scan data generated by the generating section to a specific destination when a specific operation is performed during speaking performed by the speaking section or within a certain period of time after completion of the speaking performed by the speaking section.

An imaging apparatus includes imaging units that image a subject, a title generation executing unit that generates title images each including a display title for classifying a plurality of captured images acquired by the imaging unit and inserts the title image into the captured images, a storage unit that stores the captured images and the title images, a display unit that displays the captured images and the title images stored in the storage unit in the form of a list, and an image search executing unit that searches for a desired captured image from the plurality of captured images and the title images displayed on the display unit in the form of the list. Provided is an image processing apparatus for extracting embedded information from a printed document printed by an electrophotographic method, including: a first obtaining unit configured to obtain first image data by reading the printed document while applying light to the printed document; a second obtaining unit configured to obtain second image data by reading the printed document without applying light to the printed document; a determination unit configured to determine whether a high color density region of which density is higher than a predetermined value is present in the printed document; and a decision unit configured to decide which of the first image data and the second image data to set as image data to be used to extract the embedded information, according to the determination made by the determination unit.

Provided is an image processing apparatus for generating a printed document with specific information embedded therein, including: a first obtaining unit configured to obtain image data to be used in printing; a second obtaining unit configured to obtain the specific information; an acceptance unit configured to accept designation of a printing apparatus for executing printing; an embedding condition determination unit configured to determine a condition for embedding the specific information into the image data according to a type of the accepted printing apparatus; a multiplexed image generation unit configured to generate a multiplexed image by executing embedding of the specific information under the condition determined by the embedding condition determination unit; and a control unit configured to perform control such that the printing apparatus prints the multiplexed image.
