A system and method for interactive printed media are disclosed in which a mobile or wearable computing device has an application that captures an image of a piece of printed media and associates a link to the piece of printed media using a backend component to make the piece of printed media interactive. The system and method may be used to generate a piece of printed media that is interactive that may be sent to third parties or to make an existing piece of printed media interactive.

An information processing apparatus that positively notifies a notification destination of information to be notified even if a communication protocol is changed before notifying storage of stored data. A notification setting processing section of a document storage notification application sets a protocol for accessing the stored document data from a computer via a network. When document data is stored in a HDD, a mail transmission processing section notifies the computer of storage location information on the document data for accessing the data according to the set protocol. If the set protocol is changed before the storage location information is notified to the computer, a control section causes the mail transmission processing section to notify the computer of storage location information for causing the document data to be accessed using the changed protocol.

The associating processor associates each of connection bases with both base identification information and limitation information regarding a data process. The base identification information identifies corresponding one of the connection bases. The process execution circuitry causes an information processing apparatus to execute the data process. The information processing apparatus is connected to at least one of the connection bases. The base detector detects that any of the connection bases becomes a connectable base. The controller causes, when the connectable base is detected by the base detector, the information processing apparatus connected to the connectable base to perform the data process based on the limitation information.

An electronic device is provided. The electronic includes a memory storing a digital catalog. The electronic device also includes at least one processor coupled to the memory. The at least one processor is configured to determine whether a printer is associated with the digital catalog. The at least one processor is also configured to receive a request for an item or part number in the digital catalog. The at least one processor is further configured to transmit a barcode associated with the requested item or part number to the printer. In addition, the at least one processor is configured to transmit a print request to the printer to print the barcode.

Methods and systems for aggregating digital content captured at an event. In one aspect, a connection is established from a computing device to a Near Field Communication (NFC) enabled event check-in point located at the event. The NFC enabled event check-in point is encoded with event identification information for the event. The event identification information includes an event Uniform Resource Locator (URL) for a webpage associated with a computing system. The computing device receives event identification information including the event URL from the NFC enabled event check-in point, and transmits digital images captured at the event to a computing system.

An image printing apparatus includes a control section configured to receive original image data, analyze the original image data to acquire address information included in the original image data, and generate a two-dimensional code corresponding to the acquired address information. A printer is then controlled to print the generated two-dimensional code and the original image data.

The device further incorporates a visual information disposition subsystem for disposing of visual information received by the visual sensors. The device further incorporates a package that bears the visual sensors and the visual information disposition subsystem, and is suitable to be held in a human hand.
