Method and apparatus for synchronization to a common synchronization reference source
Aspects of the disclosure provide a method and an apparatus for synchronization to a common synchronization reference source. For example, the apparatus can include receiving circuitry and processing circuitry. The receiving circuitry can be configured to receive from a BS a signaling indicating a timing offset between sidelink synchronization timings of the apparatus and a GNSS. The processing circuitry can be configured to adjust the sidelink synchronization timing of the apparatus based on the timing offset.
SYSTEM FOR EMBEDDING SEARCHABLE INFORMATION, ENCRYPTION, SIGNING OPERATION, TRANSMISSION, STORAGE AND RETRIEVAL
A cell phone is disclosed for acquiring information to be transmitted to a receiving facility and for transmitting such thereto. A capture device captures information from an external source. A processor is provided for associating with the captured information a representation of the date and time of the capture of the information, such that the representation of the date and time information in association with the captured information forms augmented captured information. The processor also places the augmented captured information in association with subscriber information in a transmission of the augmented captured information to a receiving facility requiring such subscriber information. A transmitter transmits the transmission including the augmented captured information and the subscriber information to the receiving facility. An encryptor encrypts the augmented captured information with a symmetrical encryption algorithm to provide encrypted augmented captured information in the transmission with the subscriber information.
GPS PRE-ACQUISITION FOR GEOTAGGING DIGITAL PHOTOS
A handheld electronic device, such as a GPS-enabled wireless communications device with an embedded camera, a GPS-enabled camera-phone or a GPS-enabled digital camera, determines whether ephemeris data needs to be obtained for geotagging digital photos taken with the device. By monitoring user activity with respect to the camera, such as activation of the camera, the device can begin pre-acquisition of a GPS position fix by obtaining needed ephemeris data before the photograph is actually taken. This GPS pre-acquisition improves the likelihood that a position fix (GPS lock) is achieved by the time the photo is taken (to enable immediate geotagging). Alternatively, the photo can be geotagged retroactively by appending the current location to the metadata tag associated with the digital photo. An optional acquisition status indicator can be displayed on a user interface of the device to indicate that a position fix is being obtained.
SECURE DIGITAL MEDIA CAPTURE AND ANALYSIS
Systems and methods for generating certified images, annotations, and incident reports are disclosed. A media capture device can be used to capture a media asset and related metadata. The image and its metadata can then be certified upon capture so that it can be verified as authentic and unaltered after certification. The certified media asset can then be included in or as a part of an incident report, which may optionally align multiple media assets along a path based on location and time of capture. The report may itself be certified and synchronized with a cloud server system.
IMAGING METHOD AND SYSTEM
There is provided a method for compositing remote sensing images (such as satellite images in visible light) with user generated content. An image capture device carried on a satellite platform is tasked to capture at least one remote sensing image of a geographical area within a predetermined time slot. The at least one remote sensing image is received at an interface portal along with at least one user-generated content, UGC, item. UGC items that have an associated location within the geographical area and that were captured within the time slot are merged, by the interface portal, with the remote sensing image to form a hybrid image. The interface portal and user device implementing the above method are described as is the system in which the method is implemented.
IMAGING DEVICE AND INFORMATION ACQUISITION SYSTEM IN WHICH AN ACQUIRED IMAGE AND ASSOCIATED INFORMATION ARE HELD ON A DISPLAY
An imaging device includes an imaging portion that images a subject; a positional information acquisition portion that acquires positional information of an imaging position; a control portion which acquires information on the subject based on the positional information, and displays image data of the subject and the information on the subject on a display portion; and a hold control portion that outputs a hold control signal, which holds the image data of the subject and the information on the subject, to the control portion.
EVENT DETECTING DEVICE WITH LOW POWER CONSUMPTION
An event detecting device operates in a driving mode or a parking mode. In the driving mode, the event detecting device performs high quality video recording using an image-capturing circuit. In the parking mode, the event detecting device periodically activates the image-capturing circuit for event detection and starts to perform low quality video recording after detecting a specific event.
Printing from a handheld device via a remote server
Systems and methods are provided though which a transaction, e.g., in a multi-tier, distributed application may be initiated from a portable or hand-held device, such as a smartphone. A computer system or systems, possibly remote from the device, may approve the transaction, complete it, or both, and the remote computer system or systems may cause a document to be printed, e.g., by a printer physically proximate to the device. Aspects of the invention are illustrated by embodiments in which a drug prescription may be created electronically using a hand-held device. In such an embodiment, the prescription may be transmitted to one or more remote computer systems, such as an application server, for processing. If specified, the remote computer systems may cause a prescription to be printed, e.g., at a printer near the prescriber's location. The prescriber may sign the printed prescription and give it to a patient or pharmacy.
Supplying content aware photo filters
A server includes a photo filter module with instructions executed by a processor to identify when a client device captures a photograph. Photograph filters are selected based upon attributes of the client device and attributes of the photograph. The photograph filters are supplied to the client device.
Managing camera usage with warnings and/or disablement
An approach is provided for managing a usage of a camera. Based on a second location of the camera being determined to match a first location associated incidents of camera usage that caused harm, the camera is determined to be at a location of concern. The user is notified about the location of concern by a rule-specified, highlighted boundary in a pre-captured first image on the camera display. A person in a pre-captured second image is determined to be within the boundary. The usage of the camera by the user is determined to likely cause a danger to the person. Based on the person being within the boundary and the usage of the camera being likely to cause the danger, a functionality of the camera is disabled so that the camera is not able to capture an image.
