Image device for generating depth images and related electronic device
An image device for generating depth images includes at least two image capturers and a rotating device. When the rotating device rotates the at least two image capturers, multiple images captured by the at least two image capturers are utilized to generate a depth image, wherein a view angle corresponding to the depth image is not less than a view angle of each image capturer of the at least two image capturers.
Selection of microphones in a camera
A camera is configured with multiple microphones to reduce wind noise in audio data collected by the camera. The camera receives motion data, which may comprise data indicating acceleration of the camera, a plurality of video frames received by the camera, or a background level of noise associated with one or more microphones configured on the camera. The camera determines a motion vector from the motion data. The motion vector is parallel to the direction of motion of the camera. The camera selects a subset of one or more microphones in the direction of the motion vector. By recording audio data using the one or more selected microphones, the camera reduces wind noise in the audio data.
Image capture and transfer system
An image connection system including an information gathering unit that gathers information on an image to be captured, an image requesting unit that requests the capture of an image from at least one mobile communication device at a predetermined location for a predetermined fee, an image routing device that routes an image form at least one mobile communication device to the requesting device.
Method of combining image files and other files
A method and system for combining, communicating, storing and/or separating image data and non-image data. The method involves a computer programmed to identify an end-of-file (EOF) marker of an image file, and being programmed to add the non-image data to the image file after the EOF marker.
Imaging method and device using biometric information for operator authentication
Essentially coincident with the capture of an image by the imaging device, biometric information indicating the identity of the operator of the device is obtained from at least one biometric sensor. The biometric information and captured image are then stored in a manner reliably associating each with the other. At a later time, biometric information is obtained from a supposed operator of the imaging device. By comparing this candidate biometric information with the stored biometric information, the supposed operator may be authenticated as the operator of the imaging device at the time of capture of the stored image.
METHOD FOR DELETING DATA FILES IN AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device, such as a digital camera, includes a deletion mode whereby a camera/electronic device user can delete captured images or data files that have already been transferred in order to make room in the electronic device or digital camera memory for capturing further images. In one embodiment, a digital camera keeps track of which images have already been transferred to an external storage device and presents those to the user as potential images to be deleted. In another embodiment, the user is presented with a delete all transferred images which when selected deletes all the captured images that have already been transferred. In still another embodiment, deletion criteria are used to prioritize which images are deleted first.
