Methods and systems for embedding one or more scanned pages as object in a scanned document
The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for embedding one or more scanned pages in a scanned document. The method includes receiving a document for scanning, the document includes a plurality of pages. Each page of the document is scanned. Then, a scanned document is created. A user interface is presented to a user to receive one or more page numbers corresponding to one or more scanned pages of the document to be embedded, a page number where the one or more scanned pages are to be embedded, and a location where the one or more scanned pages are to be embedded. Based on the received details, the one or more scanned pages are embedded as object at the page location in the scanned document. A final scanned document is created including the one or more scanned pages as embedded objects and the remaining pages as visible scanned pages.
Image processing device, image forming apparatus, image processing method, and non-transitory recording medium to correct an inclination of image data in the image memory relative to an output medium
An image processing device includes an external memory interface to write image data to an image memory, and an inclination correction circuit. The inclination correction circuit generates coordinate information based on inclination information, detects, from the coordinate information, a minimum sub-scanning coordinate in each of divided areas of the image data, generates first read addresses for reading the divided areas of the image data from the image memory based on the minimum sub-scanning coordinate, reads the divided areas of the image data from the image memory based on the first read addresses, writes the divided areas of the image data to an internal memory, generates second read addresses for reading the divided areas of the image data from the internal memory based on the coordinate information, and reads the divided areas of the image data from the internal memory based on the second read addresses.
Selection of microphones in a camera
A camera is configured with multiple microphones to reduce wind noise in audio data collected by the camera. The camera receives motion data, which may comprise data indicating acceleration of the camera, a plurality of video frames received by the camera, or a background level of noise associated with one or more microphones configured on the camera. The camera determines a motion vector from the motion data. The motion vector is parallel to the direction of motion of the camera. The camera selects a subset of one or more microphones in the direction of the motion vector. By recording audio data using the one or more selected microphones, the camera reduces wind noise in the audio data.

PERSONAL INFORMATION SYSTEM
Systems and methods realize the benefit of portable storage devices by taking advantage of PCs including an optical disk drive, optical disks, such as a CD or a DVD, and the Internet. An individual patient provides personal data to a healthcare service center. The healthcare service center can then create a portable optical disk for the patient to carry. The personal data written onto the portable optical disk is stored on a database management server database and is readable and updateable by the individual patient using his/her PC with an optical disk drive and connected to the Internet. The individual patient can choose to update his/her personal data on the portable optical disk and can receive a new portable optical disk that includes the update. The new portable optical disk containing the latest update is created and delivered to the patient by the database management server.
INTELLIGENT DELIVERY SYSTEM BASED ON METRICS AND ANALYTICS
Tools are provided including intelligent provisions to perform processing of mail at a mailcenter that services plural mail service customers, such as, for example, adapted based on metrics and analytics derived from previous mail processing.
Decoloring device and image processing system
A decoloring device includes a scanner, a decoloring unit, and a processor. The scanner reads an image on a sheet. The decoloring unit decolors the image on the sheet after the scanner has read the image. The processor recognizes a page number included in the image and stores the image read by the scanner and decolored by the decoloring unit at a location that is associated with the recognized page number.
METHOD FOR DELETING DATA FILES IN AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device, such as a digital camera, includes a deletion mode whereby a camera/electronic device user can delete captured images or data files that have already been transferred in order to make room in the electronic device or digital camera memory for capturing further images. In one embodiment, a digital camera keeps track of which images have already been transferred to an external storage device and presents those to the user as potential images to be deleted. In another embodiment, the user is presented with a delete all transferred images which when selected deletes all the captured images that have already been transferred. In still another embodiment, deletion criteria are used to prioritize which images are deleted first.
Document reading apparatus, method for controlling document reading apparatus, and storage medium
Conventionally, a user cannot give an instruction not to include predetermined information such as a date and time or a reception number in a file name of an image file. A method for controlling a document reading apparatus including a reading unit configured to read an image of a document to generate image data includes receiving an instruction not to set predetermined information as a file name of the image data generated by the reading unit, and, in a case where the instruction is received in the receiving, setting a file name not including the predetermined information.
