There is provided an image forming apparatus configured to process print data of a plurality of pages includes a plurality of interpreters configured to generate intermediate data of the plurality of pages by interpreting the print data, a control unit configured to specify different pages for different interpreters, and, for each specified page, cause a corresponding interpreter to generate the intermediate data of the specified page or specified pages, and a generation unit configured to generate a raster image of the page based on the generated intermediate data, wherein, based on interpretation of the print data of an invalid page, any one interpreter of the plurality of interpreters generates the intermediate data of a page subsequent to the invalid page without requiring the page to be specified by the control unit.

An information processing device includes a retaining unit and an image display. The retaining unit retains image-formation-related information of an image forming apparatus that forms an image. The image display causes a display section of a portable terminal having the display section and an image capturing section to display an image for assisting with an operation of the image forming apparatus based on a captured image result of the image capturing section and the image-formation-related information retained in the retaining unit.

The present disclosure relates to cloud-based document quality assurance. One example embodiment includes a method for evaluating document quality. The method includes receiving, by a cloud server, document data associated with an image forming device. The method also includes accessing, by the cloud server, a cloud service. Further, the method includes performing, by the cloud service, a data-segment comparison between the document data and reference document data from a quality assurance database. In addition, the method includes generating, by the cloud service, a quality assurance report based on the data-segment comparison between the document data and the reference document data.

An image forming apparatus combines a plurality of sub-movies representing operation procedures to be performed to perform maintenance on the image forming apparatus and plays the combined sub-movies sequentially as one movie. In response to stopping the movie being played, the image forming apparatus displays a replay mark for use to issue a command to replay the movie from the beginning of a sub-movie corresponding to a position where the movie is stopped.

In order to automatically group or cluster printing devices in a fleet of such devices for servicing, print status data and print state data are received, which comprises alert information for each of the plurality of printing devices, from each of a plurality of printing devices in a fleet of devices. Devices with similar print statuses and alerts are automatically clustered, and the clustered output result displayed on a user interface of a device management application (DMA). The clustered output result is also integrated into the DMA, and a print status alert module generates automated print status alerts for printers identified during clustering. The automated print status alerts are then output for display on the user interface.

The present disclosure relates to cloud-based document quality assurance. One example embodiment includes a method for evaluating document quality. The method includes receiving, by a cloud server, document data associated with an image forming device. The method also includes accessing, by the cloud server, a cloud service. An image processing apparatus performs: acquiring instruction data including notification data and location information indicative of a location of next instruction data; controlling at least one of a display and an image processor to perform an operation instructed by the instruction data acquired most recently; when controlling the at least one of the display and the image processor, connecting a first communication interface with a mobile terminal within a particular distance range from the image processing apparatus, in accordance with a near-field wireless communication protocol; when controlling, transmitting the notification data extracted from the instruction data acquired most recently, to the mobile terminal through the first communication interface, the notification data being data for specifying an operation to be performed by the mobile terminal; and acquiring the next instruction data based on the location information extracted from the instruction data acquired most recently.

The present disclosure relates to cloud-based document quality assurance. One example embodiment includes a method for evaluating document quality. The method includes receiving, by a cloud server, document data associated with an image forming device. The method also includes accessing, by the cloud server, a cloud service. Further, the method includes performing, by the cloud service, a data-segment comparison between the document data and reference document data from a quality assurance database. In addition, the method includes generating, by the cloud service, a quality assurance report based on the data-segment comparison between the document data and the reference document data.

When error occurrence in a peripheral is detected, and a setting file of a printer driver of the peripheral contains information corresponding to the detected error, an error message different from an OS message provided by an operating system is displayed without displaying the OS message.

A communication apparatus capable of wireless communication with an external apparatus includes at least one processor, and at least one memory storing a program which is executed by the at least one processor to cause the communication apparatus to broadcast an advertisement signal prior to establishing a connection by wireless communication with the external apparatus, set an output radio wave intensity for which an advertisement signal is broadcast for a type of error which occurs in the communication apparatus, and determine a type of error that occurred in the communication apparatus. When an error occurs in the communication apparatus, the type of error that occurred is determined and an advertisement signal that includes information indicating that the error occurred is broadcasted at an output radio wave intensity set for the type of error.
