COUNTERTOP APPLIANCE WITH PHYSICAL AND REMOTE MOTOR CONTROL
A countertop appliance is provided that has a motor and an actuator for setting an operational criteria of the motor, such as motor speed. The position of the actuator can be set physically by a user adjacent to the countertop appliance or via a signal received from a remote device, such as a smartphone or a home automation device. If a signal is received remotely, the physical position of the actuator is updated to show the updated operational criteria of the motor for the countertop appliance. An option feature of a confirmation interface is provided on a housing for the countertop appliance in which a user adjacent to the countertop appliance can confirm or reject an update to the operational criteria of the motor.
DIGITALLY CONTROLLED MIXER HEAD LOCK
A stand mixer includes a base configured for resting on a surface and a mixing head coupled to the base so as to be moveable between a lowered, operative position and a raised, non-use position. A locking mechanism is engageable between the base and the mixing head and has a solenoid having an operative end moveable between a rest condition and an actuated condition and a swing arm pivotably mounted with respect to the solenoid. The swing arm is moveable between a locked position, wherein the swing arm is engaged between the mixing head and the base, and a release position, wherein the swing arm is disengaged from the base. The solenoid acts on a lever end of the swing arm to move the swing arm into the release position when the solenoid is in the actuated condition.
SYSTEM FOR MIXING BEVERAGES AND METHOD OF DOING THE SAME
A module includes a housing, a sealing feature, a locking feature, and an agitator. The housing has an opening separating inner and outer surfaces and a boss that extends through the housing such that part of the outer surface forms an inner bore of the boss having a terminus pointing toward the opening. The agitator has a base, a shaft, and a mixing element coupled to the base such that the base, in cooperation with the sealing feature, circumferentially seals the opening of the housing to form a cavity defined by the inner surface. The shaft passes through the inner bore. The locking feature when engaged permits independent or simultaneous translational and rotational movement of the shaft while an area between the terminus of the boss and the shaft remains mechanically sealed during the movement against liquid or powder encroachment into a clean area of the inner bore.
Apparatus for beverage brewing
An apparatus for brewing coffee in a pre-existing vessel includes a frame, a basket, a means for agitating the basket and a power source. The basket includes at least one opening that is capable of permitting liquid to transgress into and out of the basket. The power source provides the necessary power for operating the motor. The motor is attached to the frame and a linkage connects the motor to the basket. The means for agitating the basket imparts motion to the basket during operation. The apparatus may further include an on-board heat source.
Apparatus for beverage brewing
According to present invention, an apparatus for cold brewing beverages such as cold brew coffee includes a frame, a basket, a means for agitating the basket, a power source, and a vessel. The basket has at least one opening that is capable of permitting liquid to transgress into and out of the basket. The means for agitating the basket includes at least one motor and linkage connecting the motor to the basket. The motor is attached to the frame. The power source provides the necessary power for operating the motor. The basket is positioned within the interior cavity during normal operation and the means for agitating the basket imparts motion to the basket relative to the vessel during normal operation. The apparatus is intended to be used either at room temperature or, e.g., in a refrigerator.
Micro puree machine
A micro puree machine including a housing, a power shaft, a bowl assembly and a platform. The power shaft extends from the housing. The bowl assembly including at least one locking bowl element. The platform includes at least one complementary locking platform element that is configured to engage the at least one locking bowl element such that rotation of the bowl assembly relative to the platform is prevented at times the bowl assembly is positioned thereon. The platform is rotatable from a first position to a second position relative to the housing such that the platform raises the bowl assembly towards the power shaft during the rotation of the bowl assembly and platform. The raising of the bowl assembly facilitates connection between the power shaft and a blade assembly that is positioned in a lid assembly on the bowl assembly. A blade assembly detection system detects proper positioning of the blade assembly within the lid assembly.
Systems for stand mixer bowl lifting
A stand mixer includes a base with a support column, and a bowl lift framework extending outwardly from the support column. The bowl lift framework includes at least two lift arms. The lift arms are pivotable relative to the support column. A head is attached to an upper end of the support column and extends horizontally from the support column above the base. Additionally included is a bowl. The bowl includes a flange around a circumference of the bowl, and the bowl is held between the lift arms of the bowl lift framework.
Ice cream maker
The present disclosure provides an ice cream maker. The ice cream maker including: a cutter configured for mixing and cutting food materials; a driving structure for converting electrical energy into kinetic energy; a lifting member driven by the driving structure to move in a longitudinal direction of the lifting member; and a receiving cavity configured for accommodating the driving structure and the lifting member, and formed by an upper housing and a lower housing; wherein the cutter is detachably connected to the upper housing; the upper housing is driven by the lifting member to move in the longitudinal direction so as to vary a distance in the longitudinal direction between a top end of the upper housing and a bottom end of the lower housing.
SENSORLESS CONTROL OF A BLDC MOTOR DRIVE FOR A STAND MIXER
A stand mixer appliance is provided. The stand mixer includes a base, a housing pivotally mounted to the base, a mixer shaft rotatably mounted on the housing, and a motor assembly. The motor assembly includes a motor having at least a rotor and a stator and is operably coupled to the mixer shaft such that the mixer shaft is rotatable by the motor, a motor drive, a sensorless feedback system having one or more feedback circuits coupled to the motor drive, and a controller operably coupled to the sensorless feedback system. The sensorless feedback system is configured to obtain feedback measurements of one or more electrical characteristics of the stator. The controller is configured to implement a six-step commutation control scheme and is further configured to operate the motor drive based at least in part on the feedback measurements obtained by the sensorless feedback system.
KITCHEN STAND MIXER AND SHAFT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM FOR A KITCHEN STAND MIXER
