Fast return method, apparatus, and system for CSFB user equipment
A fast return method for CSFB user equipment, includes: receiving a trigger message sent by a mobile switching center MSC, where the trigger message is used to trigger release of a circuit switched CS service of CSFB user equipment UE, and the UE runs both the CS service and a packet switched PS service; and sending a radio resource control RRC connection release message to the UE according to the trigger message, so as to trigger the UE to release a radio bearer of the CS service, a radio bearer of the PS service, and an RRC connection according to the RRC connection release message and fast return to a Long Term Evolution LTE network. According to embodiments of the present invention, a delay for the CSFB user equipment to return to the LTE network can be reduced, thereby improving user experience.
Called service processing method, mobility management entity, and home subscriber server
The present invention discloses a called service processing method, a mobility management entity, and a home subscriber server. The method includes: generating, by an MME, VOPS capability indication information according to a faulty state of a PGW after determining that the PGW in which UE is located is faulty, where the VOPS capability indication information is used to indicate that a network in which the UE is located does not support VOPS; and sending, by the MME, the VOPS capability indication information to an HSS. According to the called service processing method, the mobility management entity, and the home subscriber server provided in embodiments of the present invention, a called service is not affected after a PGW is faulty.
Device and method for radio cell selection
This disclosure relates to a mobile device, comprising: a receiver configured to receive a radio signal comprising transmissions from a plurality of radio cells; and a processor configured to derive second information from the received radio signal, the second information indicating at least one neighboring radio cell, wherein the processor is configured to initiate a radio cell selection based on the second information if the second information indicates at least one neighboring radio cell configured for the first RAT.
Method, Apparatus and System for Paging Processing and Information Displaying
A method, an apparatus, and a system for paging processing and information displaying are disclosed. The paging processing method includes: receiving a paging request message from a Mobile Switching Center (MSC) which a called User Equipment (UE) registers to; and when the called UE is connected, sending a paging notification message to the called UE, and returning a called-UE paging status message to the MSC. In the embodiments of the present invention, after the Mobility Management Entity (MME) receives the paging request message from the MSC, if the called UE is connected, the MME not only sends a Circuit-Switched (CS) paging notification message to the called UE, but also returns a paging status message to the MSC, indicating that the called UE has received the paging notification message.
Call Switching Method, Terminal Device, and Storage Medium
A call switching method includes: when a first terminal device detects an input operation that is of initiating a call request to a second terminal device, or when a first terminal device receives a first call request that is initiated by a second terminal device by using a second-type communications network, detecting whether both the first terminal device and the second terminal device are in a first-type communications network; and when the first terminal device detects that both the first terminal device and the second terminal device are in the first-type communications network, initiating a second call request to the second terminal device by using the first-type communications network, or sending first prompt information to the second terminal device
Method, apparatus, and system for voice call fallback to circuit switched domain
A method for voice call fallback to a circuit switched (CS) domain disclosed in the present invention includes: receiving a Service Request message from a calling user equipment (UE), where the Service Request message includes called number information of a voice call in a CS domain, instructing an evolved NodeB (eNB) to initiate circuit switched fallback (CSFB) handover; receiving a Handover Request message from the eNB, where the Handover Request message includes information required for CS handover, selecting a mobile switching center (MSC) and sending a packet switched (PS) to CS Handover Request message to the MSC, where the PS to CS Handover Request message carries information required for the CS handover and a called number so that the MSC calls a called UE. The corresponding apparatuses and systems are also disclosed. The technical solution of the present invention can reduce the connection delay.
METHODS FOR EXCHANGING MESSAGES AND MANAGING MESSAGES, TERMINAL AND MESSAGING SERVER
Communication by messages such as provided by the mobile telephony standard, Rich Communication Services (RCS), is described. A method for exchanging messages implemented by a user terminal capable of transmitting a message via one of a first network and a second network is described, the method including, when the terminal of the user is in a second transmission mode for a contact terminal, triggering a failover of the user terminal in a first transmission mode for the contact terminal, as soon as a notification is received at the terminal of the user of connecting to the first network of the contact terminal coming from a messaging server on the first network. Thus, returning to using the first network by the user terminal only depends on one single message: the connection notification, and the exchanges for determining the capacities of the terminal of the contact are reduced, since this notification is only sent when the connection of the contact terminal to the first network is effective.
Apparatuses and methods for reducing circuit switch fallback (CSFB) call setup time
A mobile communication device including a wireless transceiver and a controller is provided. The wireless transceiver performs wireless transmission and reception to and from a first network supporting only Packet-Switched (PS) services or a second network supporting Circuit-Switched (CS) services. The controller receives a rejection message of a Tracking Area Updating (TAU) procedure from the first network via the wireless transceiver when a Circuit Switch Fallback (CSFB)-related call originated from or terminated to the mobile communication device is pending, determines whether the rejection message includes a predetermined rejection cause, and in response to the rejection message including the predetermined rejection cause, selects the second network to make the CSFB-related call via the wireless transceiver without re-attaching to the first network.
Dual radio operation between access systems using 3GPP radio access technology
Systems and methods of providing 5G access for a UE are generally described. The UE is simultaneously connected via dual radio operation to a legacy and 5G access system. The UE mobility management states for the access systems are independent of each other. The EPC and 5G CN share an HSS and may share a IP anchor. When handover occurs between access systems, the IP address is retained and the IP anchor used when the UE transmits an Attach Request having a Handover Attach Request Type and otherwise a new IP address is provided and the HSS but not the IP anchor is common between the access systems. The 5G eNB to which the UE is connected is standalone and connected to the 5G CN or dual mode and connected with an EPC via an LTE anchor in addition to the 5G CN.
Method for selecting cell using a 5G user equipment and a 5G UE
A method for selecting cell using a fifth generation (5G) user equipment (UE) is provided. The method includes detecting an event, when the 5G UE is camped on a serving cell; detecting availability of one or more voice over new radio (VoNR) cells and one or more non-VoNR cells in vicinity of the serving cell in response to detecting the event; based on the event, performing one of (i) selecting a VoNR cell when only one VoNR cell is available, (ii) identifying and selecting a VoNR cell based on a plurality of cell parameters, when a plurality of VoNR cells are available, and (iii) identifying and selecting a non-VoNR cell from the one or more non-VoNR cells, based on the plurality of cell parameters, when one of the one or more non-VoNR cells is available.
