METHODS FOR TRIGGERING A BASE STATION TO TRANSMIT A MAC MESSAGE
The examples described herein provide for a Secondary Base Station (SeNB) Change procedure in a system configured to provide Dual Connectivity, where the SeNB Change procedure does not include the RACH procedure. As part of the SeNB Change procedure, a UE device generates a request that the Target Secondary base station (Target SeNB) is to send a Media Access Control (MAC) message to the UE device. In some examples, the request can be configured to specify a particular MAC Control Element that the Target SeNB should send in response to receiving the request. Upon receipt of the request, the Target SeNB transmits the requested MAC message to the UE device, along with TA information, if required. The UE device determines when the SeNB Change procedure has been completed, based at least partially on when the requested MAC message is received from the Target SeNB.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MONITORING A PLURALITY OF CELLS AND ONE OR MORE DOWNLINK CHANNELS
A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) and a method comprising monitoring a plurality of cells for ACK/NACK information, each of the plurality of cells including a plurality of downlink channels, for each of the plurality of cells, determining a subset of the downlink channels for the cell, and, for each of the plurality of cells, monitoring the subset of downlink channels for one or more downlink messages.
Device and method of handling a dual connectivity with base stations
A communication device for handling a DC with a first BS and a second BS comprises at least one storage device storing instructions of configuring a first signalling radio bearer (SRB) for communicating with the first BS; receiving a first measurement configuration on the first SRB; transmitting a first measurement report associated to the first measurement configuration; receiving a first radio resource control (RRC) message on the first SRB, wherein the first RRC message configures the second BS as a secondary node (SN); configuring a second SRB for communicating with the second BS; receiving a second measurement configuration on the second SRB; transmitting a second measurement report associated to the second measurement configuration; disconnecting from the second BS; releasing at least one of the second measurement configuration, a measurement result associated to the SN and the second SRB; and maintaining a data radio bearer configuration.
RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND RADIO BASE STATION
In a radio communication system, a split bearer that passes from a core network to a secondary cell group and branches from gNB 100B included in the secondary cell group to eNB 100A included in a master cell group is set, and data is transmitted to a user equipment via thus set split bearer. The gNB 100B transmits, to the eNB 100A, Use of SCG Radio Resource that indicates whether to configure a split bearer that uses a radio resource between the user equipment and the gNB 100B. The eNB 100A sets the split bearer based on the received Use of SCG Radio Resource.
Cognitive Roaming Support
Methods and systems are described for generating and utilizing a pattern of association. The pattern of association can comprise information that indicates to which of a plurality of network devices one or more mobile devices are likely to connect. The pattern of association can comprise information that indicates an order of association. The pattern of association can be associated with one or more factors which can be any information that provides insight into the pattern of association. The pattern of association can be used to identify a next network device that a mobile device will transition to based on which network device the mobile device is currently connected to. Data, such as authentication information, can be pushed to the identified next network device to reduce network connectivity issues that may occur by transitioning between network devices.
RRC connection re-establishment method for data transmission
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a data transmission method, user equipment, and an access network device. UE transmits air interface data to an access network device by using a serving cell set including at least two core serving cells that can independently serve the UE to transmit data, and initiates an RRC connection re-establishment process to the access network device only when detecting that all core serving cells in the serving cell set are unavailable. Data transmission is performed by using an available serving cell to the greatest extent. In other words, data transmission can be performed by using any available core serving cell, to reduce the dependence of data transmission between serving cells and minimize possibility of data transmission interruption, thereby improving data transmission robustness.
Releasing secondary cells of a secondary group in a wireless device
A wireless device receives configuration parameters of cells. The cells are grouped into a primary group comprising a primary cell, and a secondary group. The secondary group comprises first secondary cells. The first secondary cells comprise a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) secondary cell with a secondary PUCCH. A channel quality indicator of a signal is transmitted via the secondary PUCCH. A message indicating a release of fewer secondary cells than the first secondary cells is received. The fewer secondary cells comprise the PUCCH secondary cell. The first secondary cells are released based on releasing the PUCCH secondary cell.
Deactivating or Releasing a Secondary Cell in Response to a Radio Link Issue
A base station transmits parameters of cells grouped into control channel groups comprising: a primary control channel group; and a secondary control channel group. The secondary control channel group comprises: a control channel secondary cell with a secondary control channel; and a secondary cell. A radio link issue with the control channel secondary cell of a wireless device is detected. At least one command to deactivate the secondary cell for the wireless device is transmitted in response to the radio link issue.
Resource management method and apparatus for use in wireless communication system
A resource management method and apparatus allows or restricts use of some or all of the resources of entities of a wireless communication system. A radio resource management method of a radio access point includes receiving a measurement report from a terminal, selecting another radio access point for serving the terminal in cooperation with the serving radio access point based on the measurement report and a Handover Restriction List (HRL), and transmitting a request for serving the terminal to the selected another radio access point.
METHOD TO SELECT AUTOMATICALLY PRIMARY AND SECONDARY NETWORKS TO SUPPORT EMERGENCY CALLS AND REMOTE COMMANDS IN VEHICLES
A method of selecting primary and secondary cellular networks for a vehicle comprises measuring cellular connectivity parameters for cellular communication between a first subscriber identity module (SIM) and a first cellular network and for cellular communication between a second SIM and a second cellular network, comparing measured cellular connectivity parameters for the first SIM to measured cellular connectivity parameters for the second SIM, designating one of the first SIM and the first cellular network and the second SIM and the second cellular network as a primary network, and designating the other one of the first SIM and the first cellular network and the second SIM and the second cellular network as a secondary network, measuring cellular connectivity parameters for the primary and secondary networks, comparing the measured cellular connectivity parameters for the primary and secondary networks, switching designation of the primary and secondary network based on measured cellular connectivity parameters.
