User equipment included in a wireless communication system wirelessly connects to a donor base-station to establish a macro link, wirelessly connects to a mobile relay to establish an access link, and simultaneously maintains connections with the donor base-station and the mobile relay coexisting in the same coverage area, wherein a first pre-established frequency band can be used for the access link and a second pre-established frequency band can be used for the macro link. Furthermore, the user equipment can wirelessly connect to the mobile relay to establish an access link, be assigned, from the mobile relay, a wireless resource for device-to-device communication with at least one other user equipment within the same mobile relay cell, and perform device-to-device communication with the at least one other user equipment using the assigned wireless resource.

Network switching method, system, and network side device

Embodiments of the present invention apply to the technical field of communications, and disclosed are a network switching method, system, and network side device. In the embodiment of the invention, within coverage of network side devices on one signaling plane, when a current network side device bearing data plane information of a terminal device determines that handover from the current network side device to a target network side device is required, the current network side device performs handover confirmation with the target network side device, so that the target network side device enables a data plane information communication function with the terminal device and completes switching the bearer of the data plane information.

Radio Network Nodes, Wireless Device, and Methods Performed Therein for Handling Connections in a Wireless Communication Network

Embodiments herein disclose a method performed by a wireless device (10) for handling connections in a wireless communication network, wherein the wireless device (10) is configured with a split signaling radio bearer to a first radio network node (12), being a master radio network node, and a second radio network node (13), being a secondary radio network node. The wireless device detects a radio link problem to the first radio network node (12); and transmits a failure report to the first radio network node (12) over the split signaling radio bearer via the second radio network node (13). The failure report indicates the radio link problem to the first radio network node (12).

An SeNB informs an MeNB that it can configure bearers for the given UE. At this time, the MeNB manages the DRB status, and then sends a key S-KeNB to the SeNB. The MeNB also sends a KSI for the S-KeNB to both of the UE and the SeNB. After this procedure, the MeNB informs an EPC (MME and S-GW) about the new bearer configured at the SeNB, such that the S-GW 50 can start offloading the bearer(s) to the SeNB 30. Prior to the offloading, the EPC network entity (MME or S-GW) performs verification that: 1) whether the request is coming from authenticated source (MeNB); and 2) whether the SeNB is a valid eNB to which the traffic can be offload.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING DATA IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

Disclosed herein is a method for providing a specific service through a wireless networks by a terminal. The method performed by a terminal comprises receiving broadcasting information from a primary network or a secondary network, determining a first wireless network among at least one available wireless network mapped to the specific service according to the priority information, and providing the specific service through the determined first wireless network.

Data Migration Method and Apparatus
20190273697 · 2019-09-05 ·

The present application relates to a data migration method and an apparatus, which are applied to a scenario in which a user plane gateway communicating with a terminal is changed from a source user plane gateway to a target user plane gateway. The target user plane gateway receives an address of the terminal from a control plane gateway, obtains an Ethernet data packet based on the address of the terminal, and sends the Ethernet data packet to an Ethernet interface, so that a switch obtains the Ethernet data packet through the Ethernet interface, and updates a MAC address table based on the Ethernet data packet. Thus, the switch updates the MAC address table in a timely manner, and the switch can send, through a correct port based on an updated MAC address table, downlink data to the terminal, to effectively prevent a loss of the downlink data.

Switching between packet duplication operating modes

Techniques provided herein select an operating mode from a plurality of operating modes. Various implementations establish a radio bearer with at least one network entity over a network using a first Radio Link Control (RLC) protocol entity and a second RLC protocol entity. Various implementations determine whether packet duplication is enabled for the radio bearer by processing Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) configuration settings. In response to determining that packet duplication is enabled, various implementations duplicate uplink data packets over the network by submitting the uplink data packets to both the first RLC protocol entity and the second RLC entity. In response to determining that packet duplication is disabled and split bearer is enabled, various implementations select one of the first RLC protocol entity and the second RLC protocol entity for uplink data packet transmission.

METHOD FOR PERFORMING HANDOVER IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND DEVICE FOR SAME

A method for performing handover in a wireless communication system and a device therefor are disclosed. Specifically, the method for performing handover by a user equipment (UE) without a wireless local area network (WLAN) termination (WT) change from a source eNodeB (eNB) to a target eNodeB (eNB) in a wireless communication system, the method includes transmitting an end-marker request for requesting retransmission of an end-marker packet to the target eNB when a loss of the end-marker packet is detected after the handover without the WT change is started, and retransmitting the end-marker request or performing a recovery procedure for the end-marker packet when the end-marker packet is not received from the target eNB after the transmitting the end-marker request.
