In a first aspect, a communication control method is used in a mobile communication system including a user equipment and a base station, and being capable of performing wireless communication between the user equipment and the base station. The communication control method includes receiving, by a first layer of a user equipment in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) idle state or an RRC inactive state, system information from the base station. The communication control method includes notifying, by the first layer of the user equipment, a second layer higher than the first layer of at least one of first information indicating whether slice-specific cell reselection is available and second information indicating whether a slice-specific random access channel is available, based on the system information.

Method of supporting mobility of UE supporting/using D2D communication in wireless mobile communication system
Disclosed is a method of supporting/using Device-to-Device (D2D) communication supporting user equipment (UE) mobility in a wireless mobile communication system. A method and an apparatus for performing D2D communication includes receiving system information of at least one of a serving cell and an adjacent cell of the UE. The method and apparatus for performing D2D communication also includes determining whether cell redirection is required to perform the direct communication based on the system information. The method and apparatus for performing D2D communication further includes performing the cell redirection on the adjacent cell when the cell redirection is required according to a result of the determination.

A UE capability reporting method is provided to resolve a problem that when UE is handed over from a source access network device to a target access network device, UE capability information obtained by the target access network device is incomplete. A solution is as follows: UE obtains first information, where the first information is used to indicate a UE capability supported by a target access network device; and the UE reports second information based on the UE capability supported by the target access network device and a UE capability of the UE, where the second information includes capability information, other than UE capability information stored in a source access network device, in target capability information, and the target capability information is UE capability information of a lower UE capability in the UE capability of the UE and the UE capability supported by the target access network device.

A communication method, including: A terminal device receives a master information block MIB, where the MIB includes first indication information and second indication information, the first indication information indicates whether a cell is barred, and the second indication information indicates whether an intra-frequency reselection operation is allowed. When the first indication information indicates that the cell is barred, the terminal device determines, based on the second indication information, whether to perform the intra-frequency reselection operation. The terminal device is reduced capability user equipment RedCap UE. Based on this technical solution, the RedCap UE can use different IFRIs when the cell is barred, to improve efficiency of the terminal device to determine to perform a cell reselection operation.
