20240172065 · 2024-05-23 ·

A capability determination method and device, and a capability indication method and device. A base station sends capability information to a terminal. The capability information is configured to indicate a wireless charging capability of the base station. The terminal receives the capability information sent by the base station, and determines the wireless charging capability of the base station according to the capability information.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE, COMMUNICATION METHOD AND STORAGE MEDIUM

The present disclosure relates to an electronic device, a communication method and a storage medium in a wireless communication system. There is provided an electronic device for a network control device, comprising a processing circuitry configured to: interact with one or more neighbor cells of a user equipment (UE) to acquire support information on network slice type suitable for the UE fed back by each of the neighbor cells; based on the support information, evaluate a service capability metric for each of the neighbor cells with respect to said network slice type; and at least based on the service capability metric, determine a selection priority of each of the neighbor cells for the UE.

DETERMINATION OF L2 RESET IN LOWER LAYER MOBILITY
20240155456 · 2024-05-09 ·

A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) is provided. In the method, the UE receives, via radio resource control (RRC), a configuration of multiple candidate cells for layer 1 (L1) or layer 2 (L2) inter-cell mobility from a network entity, and receive information about an L2 reset when switching between the multiple candidate cells from the network entity. Then, the UE performs a serving cell switch within the candidate cells for the UE in response to L1 or L2 signaling, and resets or reuses an L2 cell configuration based on the information in response to the serving cell switch.

MANAGING SIGNALING RESOURCES USING HIDDEN PUBLIC LAND MOBILE NETWORK SIGNALS

A wireless access node transmits an available Public Land Mobile Network Identifier (PLMN ID) associated with available wireless channels to a wireless device. The wireless access node receives the available PLMN ID from the wireless device and responsively exchanges signals with the wireless device over the available wireless channels. The wireless access node identifies a transition condition for the wireless communication device and responsively transfers a Physical Cell Identifier (PCI) and a hidden PLMN ID to the wireless communication device. The hidden PLMN ID is associated with hidden wireless channels. The wireless access node receives the PCI and the hidden PLMN ID from the wireless communication device and responsively exchanges signals with the wireless communication device over the hidden wireless channels.

Enhancement of access points to support heterogeneous networks

An interface between access points is enhanced by enabling an exchange of a cell characteristic information element (IE). The cell characteristic information can provide an access point with information about the characteristics/features/capabilities of its neighbor cells. Automatic neighbor relations are also enhanced to store and/or manage the cell characteristic information. Moreover, the cell characteristic information can be utilized by the access point to significantly improve handover (HO) decisions, increase load balancing performance, and/or decrease inter cell interference. The cell characteristic information can also improve network efficiency and avoid bottlenecks during cell reselection in Heterogeneous Networks (HetNets).

COMMUNICATION CONTROL METHOD

A cell selection method and an apparatus are provided. The method includes: performing, by a terminal, cell measurement; obtaining, by the terminal, cell selection auxiliary information; and performing, by the terminal, cell selection or cell reselection according to a cell measurement result and the cell selection auxiliary information. By using the method, the terminal can select a more suitable cell.

Managing signaling resources using hidden public land mobile network signals

The technology disclosed herein enhances the management of signaling resources of a wireless provider network using hidden public land mobile network (PLMN) signals. In one implementation, a Long Term Evolution (LTE) access node provides hidden and non-hidden PLMNs to wireless communication devices. During the communications for the wireless communication devices, the LTE access node identifies a transition condition for the network and a physical cell identifier (PCI) associated with a hidden PLMN. Once the PCI is identified, the PCI is provided to at least a subset of the wireless communication devices, permitting the subset to communicate using channels associated with the hidden PLMN.

COMMUNICATION CONTROL BASED ON SERVICE QUALITY DETERMINATION

In a handover process, a source base station can send information about a band combination to a target base station (such as a master base station). The band combination includes a band of the target base station and a band of a secondary base station. After receiving the information about the band combination, the target base station can add the secondary base station in the handover process or add the secondary base station immediately after the handover is completed.
