The second network node is within the coverage area of the first network node. In an aspect, a communication method is performed in a user equipment in an RRC idle state or an RRC inactive state. The communication method includes: specifying, as a candidate cell for cell reselection, a cell belonging to a frequency supporting a selected network slice group selected in accordance with a priority provided by a NAS layer; and determining whether the candidate cell supports the selected network slice group. The determining includes: receiving a system information block from a serving cell of a user equipment for each of a plurality of network slice groups, the system information block including information indicating an identifier of the network slice group and a cell identifier of a cell that does not support the network slice group; and determining whether the candidate cell supports the selected network slice group, based on the information.
CELL SELECTION METHOD AND APPARATUS
A cell selection method and an apparatus are provided. The method includes: performing, by a terminal, cell measurement; obtaining, by the terminal, cell selection auxiliary information; and performing, by the terminal, cell selection or cell reselection according to a cell measurement result and the cell selection auxiliary information. By using the method, the terminal can select a more suitable cell.

In the method for supporting the multiple connections to be performed in first and second base stations, a first base station receives the measured results for multiple connections from a terminal, determines whether the plurality of connections are set on the basis of the measured results, transmits the information for setting the multiple connections to the second base station when setting the multiple results, and the second base station generates the control information for setting the multiple connections of the terminal on the basis of the information for setting the multiple connections received from the first base station. Thus, the multiple connections can be easily supported and the performance of the mobile communication system can be improved therethrough.

Selective handover of cellular device based on network slicing
Systems and methods to utilize user device network slicing and cell support to manage handover of communications for user device. A request to handover management of a user device from a first cell to a second cell is received. One or more possible cells for the handover are then identified. If the user device is utilizing network slicing, then the second cell is selected from the one or more possible cells based on that cell also supporting network slicing. If the cell supports the same network slice as being utilized by the user device, then the handover of the user device to the second cell is initiated.
