HANDOVER FOR NON-STANDARD USER EQUIPMENT WITH SPECIAL CAPABILITIES

A network node obtains capability information indicating whether neighbor network nodes support special user equipments (UEs), receives a measurement report for the neighbor network nodes from a special UE, and selects one of the network nodes as a target node for handover of the special UE based on the received measurement report and the obtained capability information.

Detecting neighbor cell system information by low complexity user equipment

According to some embodiments, a method in a network node comprises determining a transmitter configuration of a target network node of a target cell and determining a receiver configuration of a first wireless device. The method further comprises communicating a request to the first wireless device to acquire system information of the target cell if the receiver configuration of the first wireless device indicates that the first wireless device comprises at least two antennas for acquiring system information of the target cell, or the transmitter configuration of the target network node indicates that the target network node comprises at least two antennas for transmitting system information of the target cell.

Control method for supporting multiple connections in mobile communication system and apparatus for supporting multiple connections

Disclosed are a control method for supporting multiple connections in a mobile communication system and an apparatus for supporting multiple connections. In the method for supporting the multiple connections to be performed in first and second base stations, a first base station receives the measured results for multiple connections from a terminal, determines whether the plurality of connections are set on the basis of the measured results, transmits the information for setting the multiple connections to the second base station when setting the multiple results, and the second base station generates the control information for setting the multiple connections of the terminal on the basis of the information for setting the multiple connections received from the first base station. Thus, the multiple connections can be easily supported and the performance of the mobile communication system can be improved therethrough.

CELL SELECTION AND HANDOVER PRIORITIZATION IN A MULTI-DOMAIN NETWORK ENVIRONMENT
20240381280 · 2024-11-14 ·

Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to systems and methods for multi-domain cell selection and handover that give a preference to terrestrial radio access network (RAN) nodes over satellite nodes. During cell search and selection, a user equipment (UE) may select a terrestrial base station over a satellite RAN node even though a connection with the satellite node may have better key performance indicators. During handovers, a UE may be instructed to handover to a terrestrial base station earlier than normal based on a determination the UE's serving cell is a satellite, or to handover later than normal based on a determination the serving cell is terrestrial and the neighboring cell is a satellite node.

EXECUTION CONDITION GENERATION METHOD FOR CANDIDATE NODE, SERVING NODE AND UE

An execution condition generation method including: generating, by a candidate node or serving node, at least one execution condition used in a subsequent conditional execution, wherein the subsequent conditional execution is performed after a cell change or a cell addition, wherein the subsequent conditional execution is performed when at least one of the at least one execution condition is met.

A method of operating a central unit (CU) in a wireless communication system may comprise obtaining, by the CU, a first slice group identifier (ID) of a first terminal and slice mapping related information from a distributed unit (DU), transferring the first slice group ID and the slice mapping related information to an access and mobility management function (AMF) supporting the first slice group ID, obtaining mapping information related to a slice list supported by the first slice group for the first terminal from the AMF, and transferring the mapping information related to the slice list supported by the first slice group for the first terminal obtained from the AMF to the DU.

PROVIDING AUTOMATED NEIGHBOR RELATION TO USER EQUIPMENTS
20180077615 · 2018-03-15 ·

A network node in a communication network provides Automated Neighboring Relation (ANR) data to User Equipments (UEs). The network node collects information of ongoing end-to-end traffic sessions from other network nodes in the communication network, and determines service characteristics of Radio Base Stations (RBSs) based on the collected information. For each RBS, the network node creates an ANR record indicating the determined service characteristics of neighboring RBSs. The network node then transmits the ANR record to each RBS to cause the RBS to propagate the ANR record to attached UEs.

Cell Configuration for V2X Communications in a Wireless Network

A base station receives, from a wireless device, a message comprising a first sequence of a plurality of parameters. A first parameter in the first sequence indicates whether a V2X transmission configuration is supported in a first band combination. The first band combination may be in a second sequence of a plurality of band combinations associated with the wireless device. An index of the first parameter in the first sequence identifies the first band combination in the second sequence. A second message may be transmitted based on the message. The second message comprises configuration parameters of at least one cell for V2X communications. The at least one cell operates in one of the plurality of band combinations that supports the V2X transmission configuration.

Multiple Semi Persistent Scheduling in a Wireless Network

A first base station receives, from a wireless device, at least one first message comprising a parameter indicating whether the wireless device supports multiple uplink semi persistent scheduling (SPS) configurations for V2X communications. At least one second message is selectively transmitted when the parameter indicates support of the multiple SPS configurations. The at least one second message comprises: an uplink SPS radio network temporary identifier (RNTI), at least one uplink SPS configuration parameter, and an SPS configuration index for the at least one uplink SPS configuration parameter. A downlink control information (DCI) corresponding to the uplink SPS RNTI is transmitted. The DCI comprises the SPS configuration index. At least one transport block is received employing the at least one uplink SPS configuration parameter.
