PHYSICAL DOWNLINK CONTROL CHANNEL MONITORING IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
Provided are a method by which a terminal monitors a downlink control channel in a wireless communication system and a corresponding device. An offset-based time window is set before a conventional DRX-on period for monitoring PDCCH, and PSPDCCH for notifying of power saving information in the time window is monitored. Whether to actually monitor the PDCCH in the DRX-on period can be determined on the basis of the PS-PDCCH.
Power saving and cell dormancy operation
A wireless device receives one or more indications including: a wake-up indication indicating downlink control channel monitoring during a discontinuous reception (DRX) on duration of a DRX cycle; and a dormancy indication indicating a switching to a dormant bandwidth part of a cell. Based on the dormancy indication and the wake-up indication, during the DRX on duration, the wireless device: monitors a downlink control channel on the cell is stopped, while maintaining the cell activated; and transmits a channel state information report for the dormant bandwidth part.
ENHANCED CONNECTION RELEASE TECHNIQUES FOR WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, control signaling for communications in a wireless communications system. The control signaling may indicate a first duration for an inactivity timer. The UE may initiate the inactivity timer and a second timer based on identifying a period of inactivity. The second timer may have a second duration that is shorter than the first duration for the inactivity timer. In some examples, the second duration may be based on one or more parameters, such as a display status, a battery status, a scaling factor, the first duration, an application state, or any combination thereof. The UE may release a connection for the communications in the wireless communications system based on an expiration of the second timer, an expiration of the inactivity timer, or a combination thereof.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR POWER SAVING IN NR V2X
A method by which a first device performs wireless communication and an apparatus for supporting same are provided. The method comprises the steps of: determining a selection window; selecting Y candidate slots within the selection window; determining at least one slot related to the Y candidate slots, on the basis of a resource reservation period value set for a resource pool; selecting at least one sidelink (SL) resource from among SL resources included in the Y candidate slots, on the basis of sensing the at least one slot; and performing SL communication on the basis of the at least one SL resource, wherein the value of Y may be a positive integer.
Wireless communication method and terminal device
A method for wireless communication, applied to a network device in communication with a terminal device, is disclosed. The terminal device connects with a first network and a second network and the network device is in the second network. The method includes reducing, by the network device when an uplink duty cycle of the second network is greater than a maximum uplink duty cycle of the second network, the uplink duty cycle of the second network. The uplink duty cycle of the second network is a proportion of time domain resources that can be used for uplink transmission in a time unit.
Method and apparatus for determining time-frequency resource, chip and computer program
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for determining a time-frequency resource, a chip, and a computer program. The method includes: a terminal device acquires power-saving related configurations; the terminal device determines a time-frequency resource for receiving an energy-saving channel/signal according to the relationship between the power-saving related configurations or power-saving related configuration parameters and the time-frequency resource for the energy-saving channel/signal.
Methods and Apparatuses for Event Reporting
Methods and apparatuses for event reporting are disclosed. According to an embodiment, an access and mobility management function (AMF) entity detects a status of a terminal device changing from unreachable to reachable and sends, to a first entity, a report indicating that the terminal device is reachable. The report contains a maximum availability time until which the terminal device is expected to be reachable.
Micro sleep techniques in star topology sidelink communications
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A hub user equipment (UE) in a star topology may broadcast to a set of peripheral UEs indicating slots when the hub UE will not be in a transmission mode. The hub UE may broadcast a slot format indication to the peripheral UEs to indicate operating modes in a set of slots. In a first group of slots, the hub UE may operate in a forward mode, transmitting sidelink communications to the peripheral UEs. In a second group of slots, the hub UE may operate in a reverse mode, receiving sidelink communications from the peripheral UEs. In slots when the hub UE operates in the reverse mode, if a peripheral UE does not have data or control information, the peripheral UE may enter a sleep mode in one or more slots of the second group to save power.
Method and Device for Power-Saving in Wireless Sidelink Communication
This disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication resource configuration. Various schemes of configuration of sidelink control resources and/or sidelink data communication resources enable reduction of time duration that a user equipment is required to monitor sidelink communication resources for sidelink data, thereby providing power saving in sidelink communication.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DEVICE TO DEVICE COMMUNICATION FOR CELLULAR DEVICES
There is provided a method and user equipment for a user equipment (UE) to perform device to device communication, for example sidelink communication. The method includes identifying, by a user equipment (UE), a time opportunity for the sidelink communication. The method further includes upon determination of a need for the sidelink communication, activating, by the UE, the sidelink communication during the time opportunity. In some embodiments, the method further includes the UE transmitting a sidelink availability message. In some embodiments, the time opportunity is at least in part dependent on the mode of operation of the UE.
