LOW POWER SENSOR NETWORK
Device power consumption is reduced by operating using both one-way and two-way communication techniques. In an aspect a device operates in a first mode enabling one-way communication to an other device for a first portion of device operation time. The first mode includes transmitting a first set of messages to the other device while turning off a power supply used by a receiver of the device. The device switches between operating in the first mode and the second mode. The second mode enables two-way communication between the device and the other device for a second portion of device operation time less than the first portion of device operation. The second mode includes transmitting a second message to the other device, and in response to the transmitting the second message, turning on the power supply used by the receiver.
GPS COMPUTATION CYCLING
A method for cycling GPS computations is described in which, at a beginning of a cycle, N computing devices are determined to be members of a device group. At each of N points within the cycle: a target device of the N computing devices is instructed to compute its target location data; another member of the device group is instructed to refrain from computing its other location data; target location data is received from the target device; and the target location data is transmitted to each other member of the device group.
WIRELESS COMMUNICATION TERMINAL FOR MULTI-USER UPLINK TRANSMISSION, AND WIRELESS COMMUNICATION METHOD
The present invention relates to a wireless communication terminal and a wireless communication method for efficiently scheduling simultaneous uplink transmissions of a plurality of terminals.
To this end, provided are a wireless communication terminal, the terminal including: a transceiver; and a processor, wherein the processor receives, through the transceiver, a trigger frame transmitted by a base wireless communication terminal, and performs a multi-user uplink transmission based on the received trigger frame, wherein the trigger frame includes a predetermined field indicating whether an additional trigger frame is present or not, and a wireless communication method using the same.
METHOD FOR SENDING UPLINK MULTI-USER TRANSMISSION TRIGGER FRAME, ACCESS POINT, AND STATION
An access point generates a beacon frame that carries a trigger frame information element comprising sending information of a trigger frame for indicating a sending period of the trigger frame; and sends the beacon frame. In this case, the station switches to an active state, and receives the trigger frame by listening to the channel, and the station performs uplink transmission according to indication of the trigger frame after receiving the trigger frame. In this way, when signaling overheads are not increased and reliability is ensured, a station can learn of a sending time of a trigger frame, and the station remains in a receiving state in an appropriate period of time.
Telecommunications apparatuses and methods
Methods and apparatuses for activating a vehicular-capable terminal to connect to a base station and/or road side unit. Accordingly a vehicular-capable terminal which would otherwise be in idle mode can then participate in vehicular communications, if appropriate.
Location-Based Sidelink Wake-Up Operation
A first wireless device receives, from a second wireless device, one or more messages indicating one or more location areas where the first wireless device continuously monitors for one or more sidelink signals. The first wireless device determines that the first wireless device is located in the one or more location areas. Based on the determining, the first wireless device starts continuous monitoring of a control channel for the one or more sidelink signals from a third wireless device. The first wireless device receives, from the third wireless device and based on the starting continuous monitor, the one or more sidelink signals.
POWER SAVING ENHACENMENT FOR SIDELINK (SL) COMMUNICATION
A method for supporting Sidelink (SL) Discontinuous Reception (DRX) operation is provided. A User Equipment (UE) maintains SL DRX configuration which includes one of a transmission pattern and a reception pattern that the UE expects to perform transmission and reception to a peer UE. The UE exchanges the SL DRX configuration with the peer UE. Based on the exchange of the SL DRX configuration, the UE determines when to perform transmission or reception to or from the peer UE during an SL DRX operation. Based on the determination, the UE performs transmission or reception to or from the peer UE during the SL DRX operation.
WIRELESS COMMUNICATION METHOD AND COMMUNICATION APPARATUS
A communication method includes a first terminal device that determines first configuration information of first discontinuous reception DRX, where the first DRX controls the first terminal device to receive data on a sidelink. The first terminal device sends the first configuration information to a second terminal device, where the second terminal device is a terminal device that establishes a sidelink connection to the first terminal device. This can reduce power consumption of the terminal device.
COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, COMMUNICATION METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A communication apparatus includes an establishment unit configured to establish a first link and a second link with another communication apparatus in a plurality of frequency channels where wireless communication compliant with an Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.11 series standard is performed, and a notification unit configured to, in a case where information about operation of the first link established by the establishment unit is changed, notify the other communication apparatus of the changed information about the operation of the first link via the second link.
Method for reducing power consumption of terminal in mobile communication system using multi-carrier structure
A method for reducing power consumption of a terminal that communicates with a base station in a mobile communication system using a multi-carrier structure composed of a primary component carrier and at least one secondary component carrier comprises: receiving a discontinuous reception (DRX) parameter group for multi carriers from the base station; and setting the multi carriers to the same parameter value, by using the received parameter group. The method for reducing power consumption of the terminal further comprises: performing a downlink control channel receive operation on each carrier according to a DRX cycle. As the base station in the mobile communication system using the multi-carrier structure simplifies the DRX process for reducing power consumption of a terminal by reducing signaling load for the multi-carrier control of the terminal, it becomes possible to reduce power consumption of the terminal.
