METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR POWER SAVING IN NR V2X
A method by which a first device performs wireless communication and an apparatus for supporting same are provided. The method comprises the steps of: determining a selection window; selecting Y candidate slots within the selection window; determining at least one slot related to the Y candidate slots, on the basis of a resource reservation period value set for a resource pool; selecting at least one sidelink (SL) resource from among SL resources included in the Y candidate slots, on the basis of sensing the at least one slot; and performing SL communication on the basis of the at least one SL resource, wherein the value of Y may be a positive integer.
Elastic resource control in a container orchestration environment
Controlling server power usage in a data center is provided. Power usage among a plurality of server racks in active mode processing a set of workloads in the data center is managed. It is detected that a new server rack in standby mode is being added to the plurality of server racks. It is ensured that the new server rack in the standby mode is properly controlled and monitored prior to transitioning the new server rack to the active mode. It is determined whether power safety criteria are met to safely join the new server rack to the plurality of server racks prior to transitioning the new server rack from the standby mode to the active mode. The new server rack is transitioned to the active mode in without exceeding a power budget for the plurality of server racks in response to determining that the power safety criteria are met.
DISCONTINUOUS RECEPTION (DRX) PROCESSING METHOD AND DEVICE, AND COMPUTER STORAGE MEDIUM
A method for processing discontinuous reception (DRX) is provided. The method includes: sending an indication notification, the indication notification being at least configured to indicate that a DRX parameter or a power saving signal being not applied to at least one first DRX group among two or more DRX groups of user equipment (UE).
Method and Device for Power-Saving in Wireless Sidelink Communication
This disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication resource configuration. Various schemes of configuration of sidelink control resources and/or sidelink data communication resources enable reduction of time duration that a user equipment is required to monitor sidelink communication resources for sidelink data, thereby providing power saving in sidelink communication.
METHODS FOR PHYSICAL DOWNLINK CONTROL CHANNEL (PDCCH) MONITORING ADAPTATION IN 5G NEW RADIO (NR)
A method for Downlink Control Information (DCI)-based Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) monitoring adaptation is proposed. A User Equipment (UE) performs a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) operation. The UE detects a UE-specific DCI format during the DRX operation, wherein the UE-specific DCI format includes a bit field that indicates an adaptation on PDCCH monitoring. The UE adjusts a PDCCH monitoring periodicity in a DRX active time of the DRX operation according to the bit field.
SIGNALING AND INFORMATION EXCHANGE FOR DRX ON SIDELINK COMMUNICATION
Embodiments provide a transceiver of a wireless communication system, wherein the transceiver is configured to operate in a sidelink in-coverage, out of coverage or partial coverage scenario, in which resources for a communication over the sidelink are (pre-)configured by the wireless communication system or allocated or scheduled autonomously by the transceiver, wherein the transceiver is configured to receive over the sidelink a reception mode configuration signal from another transceiver of the wireless communication system, wherein the transceiver is configured to change a reception mode responsive to the reception of the reception mode configuration signal.
RESTRICTED TWT OPERATION FOR PEER-TO-PEER COMMUNICATION
Methods and apparatuses for facilitating restricted target wake time (TWT) operation on peer-to-peer (P2P) links in a wireless local area network. A wireless station (STA) apparatus comprises a transceiver and a processor operably coupled to the transceiver. The transceiver is configured to receive, from an access point (AP), a restricted TWT schedule and an indication of whether the restricted TWT schedule can be used for P2P communication. The processor is configured to establish a P2P link with a peer STA, and use the restricted TWT schedule for communication over the P2P link based on a determination, from the indication, that the restricted TWT schedule can be used for P2P communication.
OPTIMIZING MOBILE NETWORK TRAFFIC COORDINATION ACROSS MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS RUNNING ON A MOBILE DEVICE
A mobile device allows transmission of additional outgoing application data requests in response to occurrence of receipt of data transfer from a remote entity, user input in response to a prompt displayed to the user, and a change in a background status of an application executing on the mobile device. Additional outgoing application data requests are foreground application requests.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR HANDLING DISCONTINUOUS RECEPTION (DRX) TIMER FOR DATA RECEPTION OF UNICAST AND MULTICAST IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
In an example, a User Equipment (UE) receives and/or detects a transmission of data from a network. The transmission of the data is addressed to a Group Radio Network Temporary Identifier (G-RNTI) for a Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) process. In response to receiving and/or detecting the transmission of the data, the UE (i) starts a first HARQ Round Trip Time (RTT) timer associated with the G-RNTI for the HARQ process, and (ii) starts a second HARQ RTT timer associated with a Cell Radio Network Temporary Identifier (C-RNTI) for the HARQ process. The UE starts a multicast retransmission timer for the HARQ process in response to expiry of the first HARQ RTT timer. The UE starts a unicast retransmission timer for the HARQ process in response to expiry of the second HARQ RTT timer. The UE receives and/or detects a first retransmission of the DL data addressed to the G-RNTI for the HARQ process. In response to receiving and/or detecting the first retransmission of the data, the UE (i) stops the multicast retransmission timer, and (ii) stops the unicast retransmission timer.
Electronic shelf label (ESL) efficient reconnect
According to various aspects and techniques to enable methods and systems for a first communication device to determine an approximate number of other communication devices that have lost contact with a host communication device. This includes determining a common future time window using a last known global time stamp and determining a transmit time within the common future time window. This also includes receiving samples that are captured during the common future time window on a predefined communication channel, as well as analyzing the received samples to estimate the total number of other communication devices.
