Method for transmitting or receiving frame in wireless LAN system and device therefor
According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a method by which a station (STA) receives a wake-up radio (WUR) frame in a wireless LAN (WLAN) comprises the steps of: entering a WUR duty cycle mode in which an on-duration for which a WUR receiver of the STA is awake and an off-duration for which the WUR receiver of the STA is sleeping are alternately repeated; and turning on a primary connectivity radio (PCR) when a WUR frame is detected in the on-duration of the WUR duty cycle mode, wherein, when the WUR frame indicates reception of a PCR beacon frame or a delivery traffic indication map (DTIM), the STA can turn on the PCR after delaying a predetermined time from the detection of the WUR frame according to a time point at which the PCR beacon frame or the DTIM is transmitted.
Low power signaling using a wake-up receiver
This disclosure describes methods, apparatus, and systems related to low power signaling. A device may identify a service request to establish a service with a first device. The device may extract information from the service request. The device may generate a wake-up packet based at least in part on the extracted information. The device may cause to send the wake-up packet to a second device.
Lightweight messaging
Lightweight messaging between a cloud-based platform and compact wireless device. The wireless device may transmit an initial message to a cloud-based platform, and receive an initial response message from the platform that specifies an interval. In response, the wireless device may transmit a reporting message to the platform that identifies the wireless device and indicates a status of the wireless device, set a reporting interval to the specified interval, and, upon expiration of each of a plurality of the reporting interval, transmit a new reporting message to the platform. The reporting interval may be subsequently changed by update messages from the platform. In an embodiment, to reduce resource consumption at the wireless device, the wireless device does not transmit an acknowledgement message to the platform in response to the update messages. Rather, the platform infers acknowledgement based on subsequent actions of the wireless device.
Method and arrangement in a telecommunication system
The downlink control channels in a control region of each downlink subframe in a telecommunication system are divided into at least one common subset of the downlink control channels and a plurality of group subsets of the downlink control channels, such that the common subset or each common subset will be decoded by every user equipment, and each group subset will be decoded only by a limited group of user equipments. Resource assignment messages for a user equipment can then be transmitted on a downlink control channel of the relevant group subset, to avoid the need for messages to be decoded by a large number of UEs that will not act on them, while broadcast messages can be transmitted on a downlink control channel of the relevant common subset, to avoid the need for messages to be transmitted many times.
Power save method, access point device, and station device
A power save method, an AP device and an STA device are provided. According to whether power save is allowed in a current TXOP and whether a station STA is newly added in an operation object identifier of a subsequent frame of each frame of the current TXOP, the AP device respectively sets a TXOP power save indication of each frame, and when the TXOP power save indication of the current frame is power save allowed, the STA device determines whether to enter the Doze state according to a judgment result for a doze condition. The adoption of the method and the device can expand the power save application range, and enhance the power save effect.
Power-Efficient Communication of Group-Addressed Frames
An interface circuit in an electronic device (such as an access point) may receive a setup request associated with the recipient electronic device. The setup request may specify a group address for which the recipient electronic device wants to receive associated frames and a proposed transmission interval. Based at least in part on the proposed transmission interval, the electronic device may determine a transmission schedule and/or may assign, based at least in part on the group address, the recipient electronic device to an aggregated group having a flexible multicast service identifier (FMSID). Then, the electronic device may provide a wake-up frame for the recipient electronic device, where the wake-up frame includes an identifier of the aggregated group for which a group-addressed frame will subsequently be transmitted by the electronic device. Moreover, the wake-up frame may be provided at a transmission time based at least in part on the transmission schedule.
WIRELESS COMMUNICATION IN AN ENVIRONMENT WITH ELECTRONIC INTERFERENCE
Methods, apparatuses, and embodiments related to wireless communication in an environment with electromagnetic interference. In some embodiments, a wireless communication parameter of a wireless device, such as a wireless local area network (WLAN) device, is set to a first value, and a first frame or packet is wirelessly transmitted or received by the wireless device. An electromagnetic signal that interferes with wireless transmission is detected. Based on the detection of the wireless transmission interference, the wireless communication parameter is set to a second value to increase communication throughput, and a second frame or packet is wirelessly transmitted or received.
Power management of communication devices
A method for reducing power consumption in a communication device. The method includes determining, by the communication device, that a packet transmitted on a communication medium is not intended for the communication device and estimating a length of the packet. If the length is greater than a first threshold but less than a second threshold, selecting a first group of components of the communication device to which to reduce power. If the length is greater than the second threshold, selecting a second group of components of the communication device to which to reduce power. The second group of components includes the first group of components. The method includes reducing power to the selected group of components.
Data communication with low-energy devices
In one embodiment, a system includes a first tracked device and a second tracked device. The first tracked device includes first known device data, describing one or more previous connections known to the first tracked device. The second tracked device includes second known device data, describing one or more previous connections known to the second tracked device. The first tracked device is configured to connect to the second tracked device, transfer to the second tracked device at least a portion of the first known device data, and receive from the second tracked device at least a portion of the second known device data. The first tracked device is further configured to modify the first known device data to incorporate the second known device data. The second known device data includes data related to a previous connection involving a third tracked device outside a signal range of the first tracked device.
Method and device for data transmission in wireless local area network
Disclosed are methods and devices for data transmission in a wireless local area network. According to the embodiments of the present application, through transmitting by a terminal a first data frame to an access device, where the first data frame includes indication information and uplink data and the indication information is used to indicate a power save poll and uplink data transmission, the terminal can receive a second data frame which is transmitted by the access device according to the first data frame, where the second data frame includes response information of the power save poll indicated by the indication information. Since the first data frame carrying the uplink data indicates the power save poll simultaneously, downlink data from the access device can be inquired or requested at the same time of transmitting the uplink data, so that data transmission efficiency is improved.
