Modem framework for application-specific baseband customization at an end user
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a device, such as an internet of things (IoT) device, may include a configuration or software (e.g., in baseband) that is common for multiple applications of the device. In some aspects, the device may select a setting for at least some if not each of a set of parameters associated with or defining a device profile of the device based on an application of the device. The device may perform a mapping procedure to map the settings for the parameters associated with the device profile to one or more baseband configurations or baseband handles and the device may customize the baseband of the device using the one or more baseband configurations. As such, the device may operate or communicate using the baseband that is customized based on the device profile and application of the device.
TECHNIQUES FOR MANAGING DISCONTINUOUS OPERATION FOR WIRELESS COMMUNICATION
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device, such as a user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling indicating a set of configurations including a set of random access channel (RACH) configurations or a set of scheduling request (SR) configurations. At least one RACH configuration of the set of RACH configurations includes a UE-group common RACH configuration or at least one SR configuration of the set of SR configurations includes a UE-group common SR configuration. The UE may select one or more configurations of the set of RACH configurations or the set of SR configurations based on receiving the control signaling and may perform the wireless communications.
WAKE UP SIGNAL FOR BASE STATION
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a wake up signal (WUS) to a base station in a WUS occasion that is configured for the WUS. The UE may transmit a communication to the base station after transmitting the WUS. Numerous other aspects are described.
Paging for delay tolerant mobile terminals and applications
A user equipment (UE) includes a transceiver and a processor. The transceiver is configured to receive, from a network, a paging message including an indication for delayed paging. The indication for delayed paging indicates that the UE is allowed to delay a response to the paging message. The processor is configured to identify the indication for delayed paging in the paging message.
State switching method and apparatus
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a state switching method and apparatus. The state switching method includes: receiving, by a first network node, a preset frame sent by a second network node, where the preset frame includes indication information used to indicate an on/off state of a main transceiver and/or a wake up receiver of the first network node immediately, after a specified time point, or within a specified time period; and controlling, by the first network node based on the indication information, to switch an on/off state of the main transceiver and/or the wake up receiver of the first network node. According to the embodiments of the present invention, energy is saved by using a preset frame to indicate an on/off state of a main transceiver and/or a wake up receiver of a network node after a specified time point or within a specified time period.
Method and device for signal transmission
A method and a device for signal transmission are provided, the method comprising: a terminal device determining a QCL relationship between a paging related signal and an energy saving signal, wherein the paging related signal comprises a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) for scheduling a paging message and/or a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) carrying the paging message; and the terminal device receiving the energy saving signal on the basis of the QCL relationship, or the terminal device receiving the paging related signal on the basis of the QCL relationship.
Communication method, network device, and terminal device
Embodiments of the present application provide a communication method, a network device, and a terminal device. The method comprises: the network device determines configuration information for power saving of the terminal device according to characteristic information of the terminal device; the network device sends the configuration information to the terminal device.
Method for transmitting WUS in wireless communication system, and device therefor
Disclosed are a method for transmitting a wake up signal (WUS) by a communication device in a wireless communication system, and a device therefor, according to various embodiments. Disclosed are a method for transmitting a WUS by a communication device, and a device therefor, the method comprising the steps for: setting a group WUS configuration related to the setting of a WUS resource for each UE group; transmitting the set group WUS configuration; and transmitting a WUS on the basis of the group WUS configuration, wherein the group WUS configuration is divided into a second WUS configuration for discontinuous reception (DRX) and a first WUS configuration for eDRX.
METHODS FOR CONFIGURING RESOURCES FOR WAKE-UP SIGNAL TRANSMISSION, RELATED WIRELESS DEVICES AND RELATED NETWORK NODES
A method, performed by a network node, is disclosed, for configuring resources to be used for Wake-Up Signal, WUS, transmission to a plurality of wireless device groups in the communications network. The method comprises obtaining a number of wireless device groups supported by the communications network. The method comprises allocating, based on the obtained number of wireless device groups supported by the communications network, one or more active resources, out of a set of available resources, for WUS for the number of wireless device groups. The method comprises determining, based on a set of resource configuration criteria, a WUS resource configuration defining a mapping of the wireless device groups to the determined one or more active resources. The method comprises providing, to the wireless device, a set of resource configuration parameters indicative of the determined WUS configuration.
UE OPERATION METHOD RELATED TO SIDELINK DRX IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
An embodiment relates to a method for operating a transmitting user equipment (TX UE) for performing sidelink communication in a wireless communication system, the method comprising the steps of: receiving, by a TX UE, a power saving (PS) signal transmitted by a base station; and on the basis that the power saving signal indicates not performing skipping during an on-duration period and the TX UE has traffic to be transmitted to a receiving UE (RX UE), transmitting the traffic in at least a part of an SL on-duration period by the TX UE.
