Method and system for adjusting packet length and mobile device using the method

A method for adjusting packet length is disclosed. A first reference point currently closest to the mobile device is calculated. It is determined whether the mobile device has been updated a reference point from a server after activated. It is determined whether the cycle of updating position information has been expired if the mobile device has been updated a first reference point from the server after activated. If the cycle of updating position information has not been expired, a position as the mobile device initially enter a range of the previous reference point at an initial time and then moves to a range of the current reference point at the current time is calculated to estimate a future position of the mobile device. A future reference point of the mobile device is calculated according to the estimated future position and is updated to the mobile device and the server.

LONG TERM SENSING FOR EXCEPTION TO MEDIUM ACCESS RESTRICTION

Wireless communications systems and methods related to medium access in a shared radio frequency band with long-term sensing for exception to medium access restriction are provided. A wireless communication device performs channel measurements in a shared radio frequency band during a plurality of measurement occasions spaced apart in time, the performing the channel measurements being based on a plurality of spatial directions. The wireless communication device determines whether the channel measurements satisfy a criterion for accessing the shared radio frequency band without a medium access restriction. The wireless communication device transmits, in a first spatial direction, a first communication signal in the shared radio frequency band without the medium access restriction in response to determining that the channel measurements satisfy the criterion, the plurality of spatial directions including the first spatial direction.

Aspects of an envelope tracking operation are described. In some aspects, as part of the envelope tracking operation, a device determines a change in a first set of power amplifier (PA) operating conditions, corresponding to a first look up table (LUT), the first LUT defined by a first LUT equation and a maximum supply voltage value. In some aspects, the device autonomously generates a second LUT equation to define a second LUT, having a second set of corresponding PA operating conditions. In some aspects, the device selects values from the first LUT equation, estimates a slope of the second LUT equation, determines an intercept with a maximum power value, and adjusts a supply voltage input for the PA to a supply voltage according to the maximum power value.

RESOURCE SELECTION FOR RANDOM ACCESS

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for selecting a PRACH occasion (RO) based on downlink quality, access congestion, latency (e.g., time to next available RO), beam correspondence, random access in previous transmissions, or combinations of these factors. The user equipment (UE) may detect access congestion of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) and select the less congested SSB in the RO selection. The UE may detect the access congestion by receiving a back-off indicator from the base station, detecting a contention resolution failure, or the number or media access control (MAC) subheaders in a random access response. In some cases, the ROs associated with different SSBs have different latencies and the UE may select the earliest available RO.

Ultra-wideband (UWB) receiver device and method for operating a UWB device

Embodiments of a method and a device are disclosed. In an embodiment, a method for operating an ultra-wideband (UWB) device is disclosed. The method involves powering down a first receive path of a multipath UWB device while leaving a second receive path of the multipath UWB device powered up, powering down channel estimation, tracking, and demodulation functions of the second receive path, and performing an acquisition function using the second receive path while the first receive path is powered down and while the channel estimation, tracking, and demodulation functions of the second receive path are powered down.

Out of service notification and deactivation of radio frequency components

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine that a condition associated with failure of a cell acquisition procedure is satisfied; output a notification that permits a user of the UE to provide input indicating whether to deactivate one or more radio frequency components of the UE based at least in part on determining that the condition associated with failure of the cell acquisition procedure is satisfied; receive user input that indicates whether to deactivate the one or more radio frequency components of the UE based at least in part on outputting the notification; and selectively deactivate the one or more radio frequency components of the UE based at least in part on the user input. Numerous other aspects are provided.

POWER MANAGEMENT PRIORITY HANDLING IN INTEGRATED ACCESS AND BACKHAUL

Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for interference measurements based on a priority value in a network (e.g., an Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) network). Certain aspects provide a method for wireless communications. The method generally includes determining, at a first wireless node, a priority value associated with the first wireless node configured to serve one or more child nodes, determining occurrence of interference to communications of the first wireless node and/or a second wireless node, and taking one or more actions in response to the determination of the interference based on the priority value.
