METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT FOR REDUCING POWER CONSUMPTION IN A MOBILE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
A method of operating a wireless communication device in a wireless communication network is disclosed. The wireless communication device transitions between a plurality of modes, wherein the plurality of modes further includes a sleep mode, wherein the wireless communication device does not listen for downlink data transmissions, and the plurality of modes further includes an active mode, wherein the wireless communication device listens for downlink data transmissions. While the wireless communication device is operating in the active mode, it receives control signalling from a transmitter to adjust a length of time for transitioning between a first mode among the plurality of modes and a second mode among the plurality of modes based on one or more sleep rules. The wireless communication device transitions from the first mode to the second mode based, at least in part, on the adjusted length of time.

A method of a User Equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the method comprising: receiving, from a base station, configuration information on reporting assistance information associated with an overheating; detecting the overheating; and transmitting, to the base station, the assistance information including first information for controlling a bandwidth associated with at least one of a first frequency range or a second frequency range based on UE's preference, wherein a first frequency corresponding to the first frequency range is smaller than a second frequency corresponding to the second frequency range.
Method for operating in power-save mode in wireless LAN system and apparatus for method
A method for a station (STA), which supports a high efficiency physical layer protocol data unit (HE PPDU), for operating in a power-save (PS) mode in a wireless LAN system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: receiving a PPDU; decoding at least a part of the PPDU; and operating in a doze state until the end of the PPDU on the basis of the result of decoding at least a part of the PPDU, wherein if the PPDU is configured as a very high throughput (VHT) PPDU, which is a legacy format compared to the HE PPDU, and the VHT PPDU is determined to be an uplink frame transmitted to an access point (AP) by another STA belonging to the same basic service set (BSS) as the STA, then the STA can operate in a doze state until the end of the PPDU.
Method and device for saving power consumption of electronic device in machine type communication technology
Provided are a communication method and system that integrate 5G communication systems with IoT technologies to support higher data rates after 4G systems. The present disclosure is based on 5G communication technologies and IoT related technologies, and may be applied to intelligent services such as smart homes, smart buildings, smart cities, smart or connected cars, health care, digital education, retail, and security and safety. The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for reducing power consumption in an electronic device supporting machine type communication. There is provided a method of signal processing for an electronic device in a mobile communication system. The method may include: obtaining repetition level information for signal reception; determining a decoding start point and decoding period; and making, if the decoding start point arrives, an attempt to decode the repeatedly received signal at every decoding period on the basis of the repetition level information.
Wireless communication apparatus and wireless communication method
A wireless communication apparatus includes a transmission unit to transmit a communication control signal on each wireless communication channel in a plurality of wireless communication channels and an interference detection unit to detect interference on each wireless communication channel in the plurality of the wireless communication channels. A control unit controls the transmission unit to stop transmitting the communication control signal on any wireless communication channel in the plurality of wireless communications on which interference is detected by the interference detection unit.
Battery-powered motorized window treatment having a service position
A battery-powered motorized window treatment for covering at least a portion of a window may be adjusted into a service position to allow for access to at least one battery that is powering the motorized window treatment. A headrail of the motorized window treatment may be adjusted to the service position to allow for easy replacement of the batteries without unmounting the headrail and without requiring tools. The motorized window treatment may comprise brackets having buttons that may be actuated to release the headrail from a locked position, such that the head rail may be rotated into the service position. The headrail easily rotates through a controlled movement into the service position, such that a user only needs one free hand available to move the motorized window treatment into the service position and change the batteries.
Systems and methods for localized device wakeup using Bluetooth low energy communications
Systems and methods for activating select devices are described herein. More particularly, this specification relates to using structure specific service IDs (SSSIDs) when two devices that are part of a common ecosystem are deciding whether to establish a connection according to a Bluetooth protocol. The SSSID can be a unique identifier that can be included in packets that are transmitted in accordance with the standards defining the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocol. The SSSIDs can be generated and provided to select devices such that only the select devices that are in possession of the SSSID are able to communicate with each other. This advantageously eliminates spurious activation of unintended recipient devices by enabling them to ignore the packet if the SSSID is not recognized, thereby enabling the unintended recipient device to remain in a low power sleepy state.
BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND COMMUNICATION METHOD THEREOF
The present disclosure provides a battery management system and a communication method. The method includes: determining, by a main BMU, from a plurality of managed units a fault unit that communicates abnormally with the main BMU, and transmitting, by the main BMU, to a backup BMU a fault frequency at which the fault unit communicates abnormally with the main BMU; selecting, by the backup BMU, from the managed units a managed unit that communicates normally with the backup BMU and the fault unit as a target unit; transmitting, by the backup BMU, frequency-conversion information to the fault unit through the target unit based on the fault frequency; converting, by the fault unit, its frequency to a frequency; transmitting the frequency to the main BMU if the backup BMU communicates normally with the fault unit using the frequency; and communicating, by the main BMU, with the fault unit using the frequency.
Modular wireless mass evacuation notification system
Monitoring and mass notification systems, such as fire alarm systems, for use in occupied structures, and more particularly to wireless monitoring and mass notification systems include wireless base units that can be modular in design. This allows horns, mini horns, strobes, and audio messaging modules (e.g., speakers) to be physically plugged into the wireless base unit creating a unit with the appearance of a single physical unit. Preferably standardized plugs are used. In some cases, visual and audio modules (i.e., notification devices) have their own battery pack or external power interface. Each wireless base unit can optionally function as a repeater if it has dual transceivers (master transceiver and slave transceiver).
