MULTIMODE RADIO ACCESS TECHNOLOGY CONTROL BASED ON POWER AND PERFORMANCE CONSIDERATIONS
A user equipment (UE) employing different radio access technologies (RATs) concurrently or successively provides the UE the opportunity to select a particular RAT to support an access service used by one or more software applications of the UE. A RAT operational control scheme provides for opportunistic enablement and disablement of a RAT and/or intra-RAT configuration so as to provide sufficient uplink and downlink throughput for supported software applications while reducing unnecessary power consumption by the UE, which often is battery powered.
Implementation method of low power consumption internet of things based on proxy apparatus
A method for implementing a low power consumption IoT network based on a Wi-Fi proxy device. The network is used for low power consumption data exchange between a Wi-Fi IoT device having a long data period in a Wi-Fi IoT network and an internet server, via a Wi-Fi proxy IoT device and a Wi-Fi access point. A low power consumption Wi-Fi MAC layer link is provided between the proxy device and at least one Wi-Fi IoT device. The Wi-Fi IoT device only establishes a low power consumption Wi-Fi MAC layer link with the proxy device. The proxy device connects to the internet server via a Wi-Fi access point, and acts as a data receiving end to buffer data, from the internet server, that is sent to the Wi-Fi IoT device via the Wi-Fi MAC layer link.
Method and apparatus of sensor network supporting bidirectional event detection
A communication method of a coordinator in a bidirectional event transmission sensor network comprising a sensor node and the coordinator is provided. The method includes sensing, in an uplink section, whether a signal having energy greater than or equal to a predetermined magnitude is received, the signal indicating occurrence of an uplink event detected by the sensor node, and transmitting, to the sensor node in a downlink section, a synchronization packet that is used for receiving the uplink event or for transmitting a downlink event in response to the coordinator detecting the downlink event or sensing the signal having energy greater than or equal to the predetermined magnitude in the uplink section. The bidirectional event transmission sensor network has a structure of a super frame that includes at least one standby slot (SS) including the uplink section and the downlink section.
Method and apparatus for supporting MBS in wireless communication system
A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method comprises receiving configuration information on a multicast broadcast service (MBS), and receiving, based on the configuration information, MBS data in a radio resource control (RRC)_Connected mode. The MBS data is transmitted to plurality of UEs including the UE for multicast transmission, or to the UE for unicast transmission. A Hybrid Automatic Repeat and request (HARQ) retransmission is applied to a transmission of the MBS data.
METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING AUDIO DATA IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM SUPPORTING BLUETOOTH COMMUNICATION AND DEVICE THEREFOR
A method for transceiving audio data by using Bluetooth low energy in a wireless communication system supporting Bluetooth communication by a first device, includes: establishing at least one isochronous channel for transmitting isochronous data with at least one second device; and transmitting the audio data to at least one second device through at least one established isochronous channel during a first interval.
PORTABLE TERMINAL, METHOD OF CONTROLLING PORTABLE TERMINAL, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
An object of the present invention is to measure a current position at appropriate timing and perform a predetermined process at a predetermined position. In a case where it is detected that a portable terminal (100) has entered a region in which the portable terminal (100) can make a radio communication with an access point (50), current positional information of the portable terminal (100) is obtained, and in a case where the portable terminal (100) is at a predetermined position, a predetermined process is performed.
CELLULAR NETWORK SCANNING CONTROL BASED ON AMBIENT IDENTIFIABLE WIRELESS SIGNAL SOURCES
Described herein are techniques related to reducing scanning in a cellular network. A mobile device reduces scanning of the cellular network when coverage holes are detected and/or predicted along a route traveled by or a place visited by the mobile device. A mobile device also reduces scanning of the cellular network when the mobile device is stationary. This Abstract is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope and meaning of the claims.
POWER OPTIMIZATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LOW POWER DEVICES
An apparatus includes a receiver and a controller. The receiver receives a wireless stream with ongoing bursts that are transmitted at recurring periodic intervals. Each burst comprising one or more data packets. The controller controls the receiver to, when the wireless stream is lost for at least a specified quantity of intervals, search for the bursts during each interval, at a successive one of multiple equally-spaced sub-intervals of each interval.
CONTROL DEVICE, VEHICLE HAVING THE CONTROL DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE CONTROL DEVICE
In one form of the present disclosure, vehicle includes: a plurality of electronic devices; a first communication device configured to communicate with a terminal using a first communication method; a second communication device configured to communicate with the terminal using a second communication method; and a control device configured to wake up the plurality of electronic devices when the first communication device wakes up, switch the plurality of electronic devices to a sleep mode when the first communication device is switched to the sleep mode, and selectively control the wake up and the sleep modes of the second communication device based on a message received from the terminal.
Telecommunications network
The disclosure provides an improved method of operating a mobile terminal or user equipment in a cellular telecommunications network to efficiently discover preferred cells, in particular a HeNB, prior to connecting. Whilst constant searching for a preferred cell can ensure it is found as soon as it is within range, this has a significant impact on resources at the UE, such as battery power, and can disrupt any existing services that might be running. The proposed method determines the probability of the UE being within range of a preferred cell based on measurements already available to the UE or by the network. Additional measurements can then be made as required, and made with increasing frequency as the probability of being within range of the preferred cell increases.
