SYSTEM INFORMATION UPDATING METHOD, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM
A system information updating method, a user equipment and a base station are provided, the method including: receiving, by the wake-up radio (WUR) interface of the user equipment, a wake-up signal sent by the base station, where the wake-up signal is used to wake up a main radio interface of the user equipment and instruct the main radio interface of the user equipment to receive updated system information, the wake-up signal includes system information (SI) update transmission control information, and the SI update transmission control information includes information required for receiving the updated system information; waking up, by the WUR interface of the user equipment, the main radio interface of the user equipment; and receiving, by the user equipment according to the SI update transmission control information through the woken-up main radio interface, the updated system information sent by the base station.
MANAGING POWER CONSUMPTION OF PORTABLE DEVICES
According to an aspect, there is provided a method performed by a portable apparatus (201). Initially, configuration information comprising at least information on a target operational time and information one or more periodic actions to be performed is maintained in a memory of the portable apparatus (201). The portable apparatus (201) performs at least one of the one or more periodic actions according to the configuration information. Thereafter, the portable apparatus (201) determines an estimated remaining operational time for a current charge of a battery (202) powering the portable apparatus. After reducing the target operational time according to passing of time, the portable apparatus (201) compares the estimated remaining operational time to the target operational time. In response to the estimated remaining operational time being shorter than the target operational time, the portable apparatus (201) lengthens one or more periods of one or more respective periodic actions to reduce battery consumption.

Method and system for managing power consumption of a mobile device in an emergency
A system and method for managing power consumption in a mobile device during an emergency is disclosed. The system includes an emergency management system running on a mobile device. The emergency management system can automatically enable one or more power saving modes when an emergency alert is received by the mobile device. The power saving modes may include a reduced communication mode. In the reduced communication mode the mobile device only communicates for brief periods at recurring intervals. The power saving modes may also include a simplified display mode. The simplified display mode may display content on the display of a mobile device in a way that reduces power consumption.
Audio or visual output (A/V) devices registering with a wireless hub system
A wireless hub device may receive wireless signals associated with a plurality of audio or visual output (A/V) devices for registering with a wireless hub system, wherein the plurality of A/V devices are configured into a plurality of zones. The wireless hub device may receive a command and transmit signals to a plurality of A/V devices in one of the zones so that the plurality of A/V devices are calibrated within the zone. The wireless hub device may receive a command and transmit signals to the plurality of A/V devices in the one zone so that an output level of the plurality of the A/V devices in the one zone is increased or decreased.
Voice operated remote control
A wireless device may receive from a source device an instruction to present program content. The wireless device may determine device types missing from an entertainment system based on supporting playback of the program content. A device type missing from the entertainment system may be registered. An instruction may be transmitted to an active source device to increment or decrement a counter. The counter may represent a total number of zones that receives data from the active source device.
Method for operating a device during an unavailability time period
The present invention relates to a method for operating a device characterized in that it comprises the following steps of, performed by a processing unit of the device: determining (a) that a notification is to be outputted through a user interface of the device during an unavailability time period; postponing (b) outputting said notification until after the occurrence of an event indicative of the availability of a user of the device.
METHODS AND USER INTERFACES FOR INITIATING COMMUNICATIONS
The present disclosure generally relates to methods and user interfaces for establishing communications.
Interface Display Method and Electronic Device
An interface display method and an electronic device are provided. The method includes: In an AOD stage, an electronic device receives a screen-on operation. The electronic device displays a first interface when receiving the screen-on operation. The first interface includes a first wallpaper and a first wallpaper upper-layer element. In response to the screen-on operation, the electronic device exits the AOD stage and displays a second interface. The second interface includes a second wallpaper upper-layer element and a second wallpaper. The first interface is associated with or the same as the second interface. In the technical solution, a background wallpaper seems to be dynamically and continuously played when the electronic device enters the second interface from the first interface, thereby helping to enhance a visual effect of interface presentation.
