Enhanced Wake-Up Signal Based Power Saving for a Wireless Device

A technique for power saving, comprising establishing a radio resource control (RRC) connection with a wireless system, entering an RRC connected mode based on the established RRC connection, receiving, from the wireless system, configuration information indicating a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle time, a DRX on time period, and an offset time, determining an enhanced wake-up signal (EWUS) monitoring occasion for a DRX cycle based on the offset time and the DRX on time period, monitoring, during a first DRX cycle, for an EWUS during the EWUS monitoring occasion associated with the first DRX cycle, receiving, from the wireless system, the EWUS during the EWUS monitoring occasion, determining that the EWUS indicates that the wireless device skip one or more future EWUS monitoring occasions, and skipping monitoring for the EWUS based on the indicated skipped one or more future EWUS monitoring occasions.

WIRELESS COMMUNICATION METHOD AND COMMUNICATION APPARATUS

A communication method includes a first terminal device that determines first configuration information of first discontinuous reception DRX, where the first DRX controls the first terminal device to receive data on a sidelink. The first terminal device sends the first configuration information to a second terminal device, where the second terminal device is a terminal device that establishes a sidelink connection to the first terminal device. This can reduce power consumption of the terminal device.

POWER OPTIMIZATION FOR COMPUTING DEVICES

The technical problem of optimizing power consumption of paired user devices is addressed by disabling and resuming short range wireless communication components of the paired user devices. The disabling and resuming of the short range wireless communication components may be determined based on a comparison of a distance between the paired user devices and a threshold distance. The threshold distance may be adjusted by a machine learning model according to user profiles associated with the paired user devices. The distance between the paired user devices may be determined based on location data of the paired user devices. The location data may be obtained by global positioning systems (GPS) mounted on the paired user devices. The location data may be communicated between the paired user devices via a messaging server.

Method for reducing power consumption of terminal in mobile communication system using multi-carrier structure

A method for reducing power consumption of a terminal that communicates with a base station in a mobile communication system using a multi-carrier structure composed of a primary component carrier and at least one secondary component carrier comprises: receiving a discontinuous reception (DRX) parameter group for multi carriers from the base station; and setting the multi carriers to the same parameter value, by using the received parameter group. The method for reducing power consumption of the terminal further comprises: performing a downlink control channel receive operation on each carrier according to a DRX cycle. As the base station in the mobile communication system using the multi-carrier structure simplifies the DRX process for reducing power consumption of a terminal by reducing signaling load for the multi-carrier control of the terminal, it becomes possible to reduce power consumption of the terminal.

A tracking system can provide configuration instructions to an electronic device based on user presence. The tracking system can determine a user's location relative to a geographic boundary surrounding a geographic area associated with the user. Depending on the user's location, the tracking system may send instructions to configure an electronic device to send a notification or change the operating mode of the electronic device in response to the user's presence. The electronic device may be a scanning device that is configured to have a higher or lower scanning frequency, depending on the presence or absence of the user relative to the scanning device.

Discontinuous reception parameter indication method, relevant device and system

A DRX parameter indication method, a relevant device and a system are provided. The DRX parameter indication method includes: generating a signal or a payload, the signal or the payload being used to indicate a DRX parameter; and transmitting the signal to a UE, or transmitting the payload to the UE on a channel.

Resource indication method and apparatus and computer storage medium

A resource indication method and apparatus and a computer storage medium are provided. The method includes that: a terminal device receives first indication information from a network device, the first indication information indicating an active transmission resource and/or an inactive transmission resource; and based on the first indication information, the terminal device detects a downlink control channel on the active transmission resource and/or does not detect a downlink control channel on the inactive transmission resource.

Systems and methods for providing automatic enabling and disabling of wireless communications for user equipment

A user equipment (“UE”) described herein may use automated techniques to receive one or more mode triggers, each including one or more sensor profiles. The UE may monitor data from one or more sensors associated with the UE and may compare the data to the profiles. The UE may determine that the sensor data matches a profile; and may disable one or more wireless features. The UE may continue to monitor sensor data and may determine that an exit trigger condition has been satisfied based on the received data. The exit trigger condition may specify a particular mode trigger; and a set of exit sensor profiles that corresponds to an exit of the particular mode trigger. The UE may, based on determining that the exit trigger condition has been satisfied, activate one or more wireless features. The sensor profiles and/or exit trigger conditions may be received from a cloud-based entity.
