The apparatus may adjust the ratios of transmit chains to align the ratios of the transmit chains for more consistent management of non-linear characteristics of the chain components. Numerous other aspects are described.

Method and apparatus for power control for wireless transmissions on multiple component carriers associated with multiple timing advances

A method and apparatus for power control for wireless transmissions are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may reduce transmission power to channels for carrier aggregation such that a total transmit power of the WTRU is smaller than or equal to a maximum transmission power level in all symbols of a transmission. Further, transmission power may be allocated to the channels for carrier aggregation based on priority. Also, transmission power may be allocated to a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) or a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) with uplink control information over a PUSCH without uplink control information. Moreover, transmission power may be allocated to a PUCCH or a PUSCH over a sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission. Additionally, the WTRU may transmit data over one or more channels, of the channels for carrier aggregation, at the respective transmission power allocated to the one or more channels.

Method and network node for enabling wireless communication with a wireless device

A method and a network node (300) for enabling wireless communication with a wireless device (302), wherein no more than a pre-determined maximum total transmit power is available for downlink transmission by the network node (300). When detecting that the wireless device (302) requires an extended transmission range (300B) which is larger than a nominal transmission range (300A), a boosted transmit power is determined and used for transmitting a first set of channels and/or signals to be used by the wireless device (302) to achieve the extended transmission range (300B). An attenuated transmit power is also determined and used for transmitting a second set of channels and/or signals not included in the first set of channels and/or signals, which provides a slightly reduced transmission range (300C) for the second set. The boosted transmit power is thus higher than a nominal transmit power, and the attenuated transmit power is lower than the nominal transmit power, so that the total transmit power used for transmitting said first and second sets does not exceed the pre-determined maximum total transmit power.

COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM, METHOD FOR CONCURRENT TRANSMISSION BETWEEN ACCESS POINTS, AND ACCESS POINT

A communications system is disclosed. The communications system includes a first access point and a second access point whose operating channels overlap. The first access point and the second access point each measure a signal strength of a response frame sent by a terminal device associated with the first access point, to obtain a first signal strength and a second signal strength. The first access point determines, based on the first signal strength and the second signal strength, a power, a power upper limit, or a power adjustment value to be used by the second access point when the second access point and the first access point perform concurrent transmission. The communications system can perform a step of measuring the signal strength in the concurrent transmission between the access points, and reduce dependence on the terminal device.
