Limiting accumulation of transmit power control in beam-specific power control

A method performed by a wireless device (110, 500, 791, 792) for determining whether the wireless device is power limited is disclosed. The method comprises receiving (1301), from a network node (160, 712), a transmit power control (TPC) command for one or more of a plurality of power control loops configured at the wireless device. The method comprises obtaining (1302) an indication of the one or more of the plurality of power control loops to which the received TPC command applies. The method comprises determining (1303), based on the obtained indication, whether one or more conditions related to power control at the wireless device are fulfilled. The method comprises determining (1304) whether the wireless device is power limited based on whether the one or more conditions are fulfilled.

Out-of-order communication management

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a plurality of transmit power control commands identifying a plurality of transmit power values, wherein the plurality of transmit power control commands relate to a set of out-of-order communications. The UE may determine a transmit power for a communication based at least in part on the plurality of transmit power control commands. The UE may transmit the communication based at least in part on the determining the transmit power. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Devices and methods for power allocation

Methods and devices for allocating power among a plurality of circuits in a communication device, including determining a power budget for allocating to the plurality of circuits from a power supply information; receiving an activity status from a first circuit of the plurality of circuits; determining a first power value based on the activity status; deriving a second power value based on the first power value and the power budget; and allocating power to one or more remaining circuits of the plurality of circuits based on the second power value.

Temporal power control system and method

Systems and methods are described for reducing processing time of messages that are repeatedly received, with increasing frequency, by a device (e.g., user equipment, base station etc.). For example, the systems and methods would have a mobile device increase power, possibly to maximum power-out, per policy, if messages beyond the original are received and the time between those messages is decreasing. The decrease in time between messages indicates a more urgent need for the mobile device to power up. The systems and methods can be adapted for different types of messages (e.g., power-up, power-down, resource request, bandwidth request, service type, call type origination, quality-of-service request, application type, etc.). Each message type is associated with a policy (pre-determined or adaptive) that indicates the default behavior when the method detects a decrease in time between messages.

A terminal apparatus communicates with a base station apparatus by using a plurality of cells including at least a primary cell and a secondary cell. The terminal apparatus decodes a PDCCH with downlink control information format in which at least a transmission power control command field is included, transmits a PUCCH on the primary cell, and determines transmission power of the PUCCH on the primary cell based on at least a PUCCH power control adjustment parameter. The PUCCH power control adjustment parameter is calculated by accumulating at least a value indicated by the transmission power control command field, and in a case where the terminal apparatus receives a random access response message for the primary cell, the transmission power control circuitry is configured to and/or programmed to reset the PUCCH power control adjustment parameter.
